I love when they try to compare history to sports. Like when on yahoo last week I read that the last time the government shut down was 1995 and the braves won the World Series. Maybe this year will be good luck???? LOL oh btw I'm happy we don't have freddy and uggla. And we can ultimately agree bj was a bust. Oh well,7 more teams left. Next to go is Detroit hopefully.

I particularly enjoyed the dejected look on Uggla's face as he left the dugout, after having been dragged on the road-trip on the off-chance that someone would break a leg (Nick Johnson, where are you when Uggla needs you?) and he would be added to the 25-man.

 

There's just nothing better than another massive Braves failure. And they still owe Mr. "See ball, hit ball" (but not very often) 26 mill for the next 2 years. A minor Loria victory in that it's them and not us on the hook, and for an extra year, no less.

And so many people here told me they were happy he was traded. I'm sure they will say the same thing. That he wouldn't have hit this well with the marlins because he wasn't motivated or didn't care. Some other excuse. Hanley is an exceptional baseball player. The years he slumped he was injured, and it was well documented. Get over it. Hanley is taking a dump on everyones chest with ever extra base hit.
