May 3, 201412 yr That win shouldnt have been so dramatic. Still a solid win. Also, a little test for Redmond is coming in setting tomorrow's lineup ... Jones is hot now but it's all been against righties and tomorrow the lefty starts. Monday night we saw the first signs of a platoon with Baker starting against Alex Wood... So what does Red do tomorrow? Save Jones' hot bat for the righties or throw him in there and hope his luck continues?
May 3, 201412 yr Good position to at least win the series with Jose pitching against a TBD on Sunday. Tomorrow could go either way.
May 3, 201412 yr So do we know why Furcal was pulled from his game in the 4th? And any words on roster moves for Turner?
May 3, 201412 yr Jennings down, Turner up . Shame that being the GM doesn't prevent you from being optioned down.
May 3, 201412 yr I didn't know bad defense until I watched the dodger tonight Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
May 3, 201412 yr Start baker. Jones is going good, but play the match ups. He won't. Red plays the hot bat every time. That's why Lucas got the start after his 3-4 debut. Lucas will start, though.
May 3, 201412 yr I didn't know bad defense until I watched the dodger tonight Do you not remember when Hanley played for the Marlins?
May 3, 201412 yr Do you not remember when Hanley played for the Marlins? It wasn't just Hanley tonight, but yes, he was awful. Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
May 3, 201412 yr Anyone else totally relived the Hanley lollygagging incident tonight? I think Rich even made a subtle remark about it
May 3, 201412 yr everyone was good except Marmol should be DFA'd. Koehler was very impressive. Love dem ground balls
May 3, 201412 yr Good win with some nice work by Koehler and timely hitting. Marmol did not have a good outing but it was the first runs hes given up since that grand slam and the only other runs hes given up. Otherwise, I think hes been decent and his control much improved though I do not want to see more of what we saw tonight.
May 3, 201412 yr Like the streak we are on. On an unrelated note, I wonder if the orange hat experiment is already over since they wore the Bp hats tonight.
May 3, 201412 yr Garrett Jones should never play when a lefty is pitching. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

May 3, 201412 yr Must say kudos to Jones. Casey and Salty so far. At least to this point what a world of difference they've made to the lineup. Didn't expect this kind of production from them.
May 3, 201412 yr I doubt the orange caps are gone already. They were brought back because of their popular as merchandise and with kids. Nothing has gone wrong for them to abandon it after just being worn twice this year. Also the caps they wore last night are easily their worst and they look strange with the home whites. It's definitely an alternate type of cap no way it should be worn with the simple home whites. I hate when teams do that.

They have all been awesome surprises. Jones needs to sit more against LHP obviously, but the FO was correct about his ability to pull for power translating to Marlins Park, as the distance out to RF isn't too terrible and when he gets ahold of the ball it's usually a good shot. Salty has been everything I had hoped for and more, hitting gaps, pulling some homers from the left side, etc. It would be nice to see McGehee get a HR out of the way, but to this point it hasn't been necessary. I just hope he keeps with this same approach.
May 3, 201412 yr Author I've also enjoyed the production from McGehee and Salty thus far - I wish Jones would be a little more patient and not go after first pitches low in the zone that he's been grounding out weakly to second on, especially with runners on base. But, so far not so terrible.
