5/8 Post Game

Surprisingly, I would say the FOTG is Turner. Ya, I know, it was against the lowly Padres but starts like this bring confidence to struggling pitchers.

Good thing the Marlins FO had the foresight to give Stanton a contract extension. Oh wait.

For once, can you just keep it positive?

I've said it plenty of times, I love most of the users on this forum...but man does it get negative a lot.

With every homerun that $ amount is rising in his favor

11 innings...not good. 3 runs? Not good..... But we won this game because turner kept us in. He is why we won this. Stanton great, and cishek dominant. I also liked the bullpen. Keep pushing guys.

Stanton did exactly as I had hoped, stepped up when his team was given an opening. That is what leaders do.

I feel for the Padres because that was pretty much the exact thing that would happen to the Marlins over the last 5-6 years against teams like the Braves and Phillies.

This sets us up nicely to take 3 of 4 in this series or possibly even sweep the series. Let's not fuck it up and keep the good times rolling!

Bingo. Exactly, that was the Marlins identity for the last decade really. And probably every year outside of the world series wins.

I prefer to not keep my head in the sand, unlike some of you.

Dammit Johnny! What is it girl? boy?

What's wrong with enjoying the moment?

I'm happy that we won and I'll enjoy it for tonight and until 10:09 PM tomorrow, but realistically, had it been any other team than the Padres, yeah, we would have lost most likely. They had Turner on the ropes and let him off the hook. It happens.

I do like how Turner pitched after the first inning, save the homer to Kennedy. I'll take that as a positive.

Bullpen looked decent tonight.

You can still enjoy the moment and be reminded of the fact of how poorly the Marlins handled Stanton's future with the team. I love seeing Stanton thrive but his success is very bitter sweet.

Life sucks and then you die so just enjoy the good without worrying about the bad. If you're gonna spend your life focusing on the negative things then that's a pretty shitty way to lead your life. But whatever it's your life.

I never said that I was "worrying" about anything.
