As much as the Astros couldn't have won even with Manager of the Year Mike Redmond at the helm, Bo Porter was pretty bad and above all, pretty stupid.

His suckiness aside, this looks to be more of a case of a disagreement with the front office than anything else. In his defense, Luhnow did say this had nothing to do with the team's record, which could be a generic PR-type of line but also makes sense considering his firing at this point of the season.

 

 

AJ Hinch is replacing Bo. I haven't stopped laughing since I heard the news. Im on the brink of literally running out of tears. It must suck to be an Astros fan. They went from turd A to turd B as manager.

I can't believe people keep giving this man a job. And considering how his Astros tenure ended I'm shocked he was given any major league job so quickly. Especially the Braves who are trying to reshape some things. You don't reshape things with Bo Porter.
