What is Marisnick's "type"?  Doesn't seem that different from Ozuna really, other than some steals, and Zuna had the power last season.

Well Marisnick is more of a centerfielder, whereas Ozuna is more a corner masquerading as a centerfielder right now due to no other option in Miami.

Eh that's a bit unfair. Ozuna has really been an above avg CF (yes, Marisinick is better).

Long term I dont see him being able to stick in CF though.  For now when he is in shape he is fine in CF.

Once he really gets serious about the gym and not sucking as a major leaguer and adding power like he should have...profiles more as a corner as far as I can see.

But yes for now (and possibly for most of the arb years) he is a fine centerfielder when he cares.

Plus Marisnick is one of the best outfielders in baseball

...going by what?

Marisnick is really, really not good. :unsure Ozuna's worst season has literally been as good as Marisnick's best season.

Ozuna has been a + CF'er defensively.

Edit: I just saw your other post. I'm not sure he stays in CF long-term either so I agree in that sense.

How this organization fucks around with Dietrich is just an endless source of anger and frustration for me. With only 2 decent bats in the lineup, you would think a place could be found for a guy with a high 800 OPS. If Ozuna gets packaged, I want to see him trained to play LF next season, a la Lomo,  and Yelich moved to center.

Ozuna is not likely to go anywhere and I'm not sure I would want Yeli in CF on a permanent basis.

Agreed but unfortunately Ozuna is the best trade chip of value out there should there be a trade for a number 2 starter. I know it's an imperfect situation, Yelich is a gold glove in LF, not as good in CF, but if we're going to create a hole in the OF, we need a bat and I'd like to see Dietrich as the solution since this team refuses to give him a chance to play regularly in the infield.

what makes you think dietrich can play outfield?

Fair question. I don't know whether he can but its worth giving him instructional league time (he's received that in the past) in LF and extended spring training play to find out. I think he certainly would have better potential to make a go of it in LF than Lomo ever did.

Except that its not practical for a 26 and a half year old player next spring.

And I believe Dietrich is out of options after this year anyway.

Trade morse and ozuna. Put yelich at first. DD in left. Bour in center. Done freaking deal.

The problem here is I'm not sure if you are joking or not.

I really do think yelich can play first. His arm isn't too good in the outfield. I say like Shea Labuff says :"LETS DO IT!!!"

You put Bour in CF, that was what I was referring to.

oh. Yeah sure why not? Bour drops 15 pounds, gets trained in center. Easy day.

Suddenly Vince reaches new extremes.

I'm gonna put Bour in center field in mlb the show just to see how quickly he pulls a muscle. Then when I have to put him on the DL I'll trade Cishek to the Giants for McGehee and my game will be complete and up to date.

Cishek is on the Cards!!!  My OCD wouldn't allow that.

My video game OCD only pertains to the Marlins. As long as I keep them close to reality, within reason, I'm good. I even demoted Ozuna back to AAA. I'm seriously considering acquiring McGehee since the game is based mostly on 2014 stats McGehee is rated quite well and way higher than Bour is, who is struggling mightly in my season. Problem is, every trade I've explored the Giants have turned down.
