July 21, 201511 yr I really wonder if it's our pitching coaches. DeSclafani has become useful for the reds magically as well after we traded. Desclafani is the same guy he was here. The team only gave him 33 innings in the big leagues. Still don't mind that deal, but he's the same guy. Peripherals are pretty much the same as last year.
July 22, 201511 yr Marlins knee jerked and traded Heaney way too soon? no way! I would've preferred they traded Nicolino too, Dodgers asked for him.
July 22, 201511 yr I would've preferred they traded Nicolino too, Dodgers asked for him. wow are you serious? They ASKED for him and we volunteered heaney? Why do we suck so much? Why?
July 22, 201511 yr wow are you serious? They ASKED for him and we volunteered heaney? Why do we suck so much? Why? They wanted Nicolino, we asked them if Heaney would be acceptable instead.
July 22, 201511 yr They wanted Nicolino, we asked them if Heaney would be acceptable instead. XHCJVHXGVKFYFUDUGUATXJJIUXIZIAUTDIDKDOGXGZIFSISODLGDOGXOGCKHOXGOYDDLU!!!!!!?!!!!???!!??!!!!!!!!!!
July 22, 201511 yr They wanted Nicolino, we asked them if Heaney would be acceptable instead. they should have also asked for ozuna also. no telling what the morons in the front office woulda thrown in.
July 22, 201511 yr Dodgers: "Can we have Giancarlo?" Marlins: "Would you like a side of Jose Fernandez with that order?"
July 22, 201511 yr Now I wonder how past trade talks happened... Tigers: We'll give you Maybin Miller Rabelo and three others for Dontrelle Willis. Marlins: Hmmm, not sure if that's fair. Would you take Miguel Cabrera and we'll call it even?

Would you take Miguel Cabrera and we'll call it even? nah, they're not that dumb. Cabrera + Dontrelle to the Tigers for Maybin, Miller, and those other prospects looked like a steal after the Dodgers didn't offer them enough major leaguers. just Matt Kemp, Loney/LaRoche, and some minor league scrub named Clayton Kershaw.
July 22, 201511 yr To be fair, Maybin and Miller are good now. FML. culture of losing strikes again. Of course they are good now. The only consistent fool is salty
July 22, 201511 yr They wanted Nicolino, we asked them if Heaney would be acceptable instead. What the heck!? Damn you Marlins!
July 22, 201511 yr This team can't even evaluate their own talent. I would have preferred Marisnick over ozuna too for a variety of reasons
July 22, 201511 yr This team can't even evaluate their own talent. I would have preferred Marisnick over ozuna too for a variety of reasons Astros didn't give us a choice on that one.
July 22, 201511 yr Author They wanted Nicolino, we asked them if Heaney would be acceptable instead. Wait whatttttttttttttt? Really?
July 22, 201511 yr It's like that episode of Spongebob where Mr. Krabs is selling crap for 5 dollars and Patrick laments that he only has a 10. Mr. Krabs is kind enough to do the deal anyway.... Except Mr. Krabs is the Dodgers, not Loria in this instance.
July 22, 201511 yr Astros didn't give us a choice on that one. oh I'm sure they didn't thats not what i was saying. Just that when we had the 4 outfielders i would have preferred us trade Ozuna over Marisnick because at that point we probably would have gotten a better return for Ozuna and I think we are missing a Marisnick type of player in our lineup rather than Ozunas style. I think Marisnick is an absolute stud with a huge ceiling.
July 22, 201511 yr What is Marisnick's "type"? Doesn't seem that different from Ozuna really, other than some steals, and Zuna had the power last season.
July 22, 201511 yr What is Marisnick's "type"? Doesn't seem that different from Ozuna really, other than some steals, and Zuna had the power last season. Marisnick is less of a power hitter and by his minor league track record does more with steals and just overall speed. Ozuna is way too all or nothing for my taste. Plus Marisnick is one of the best outfielders in baseball and Ozuna got fat. They are very similar i just prefer marisnick. We rushed him to the majors and stunted his development.
July 22, 201511 yr Author yes Why is this organization obsessed with pitchers who can't strike anyone out?
July 22, 201511 yr Why is this organization obsessed with pitchers who can't strike anyone out? Because if they strike people out, there's less chance that the ball is put in play, meaning there's less chance for the ball to turn into a hit. We can't lose games if we don't give up hits. I mean, at least that's what it looks like from our record these last few years.
