Remember in September when it was said Prado and Mathis helped right the clubhouse? It was also said that every negative influence was gone by the trade deadline. So it's possible this is no longer an issue outside of Jose's immaturity and if anything it's up to Mattingly to keep things straight.

 

 

Also, what a poor reflection this is on Jennings and ESPECIALLY Redmond. If Red was allowing this garbage then maybe he needed to let go more than we realized. This article seems to be rehashing crap that already was taken care of by September like stated previously. Baker was an issue and to top it off he was having a crappy year. We knew about Latos past coming into this season, that was nothing new there. Though it was also documented that Jose didn't come around to DJ until later in the season.

 

Probably the one line in that article that stood out to me was about some players and coaches hoping Fernandez would get shelled on the mound in hopes that it would humble him.

Fernandez is in his early twenties and professionally has had nothing but success. He probably needs to have some big losses to learn humility.
