January 12, 201610 yr For what it's worth, if they trade Ozuna, signing Chris Johnson would allow the team to get Prado some starts in LF. I like this move, not only because it's a platoon partner for Bour, but also because it gives the team some depth/versatility, which...well, we haven't had that in forever. I like it too. His sole job is to have 200-250 PA against LHP, which he has historically been pretty good at. I would have liked to see them claim Valencia last waiver period, but this is an acceptable April-July solution to see if it works out, and they can always upgrade this if need be.

January 12, 201610 yr I think Rojas makes the team. He's the backup middle infielder. Johnson Ichiro Dietrich Rojas Mathis Honestly, that's one too many. Still wouldn't surprise me to see Ozuna get traded for a SP. Not that I want Ozuna traded, but I think it'll happen eventually.

January 12, 201610 yr I like Rojas. He seems to gel well with the players, plays great defense, and has improved his hitting.
January 12, 201610 yr last 3 years he has hit over .370 with a .904 OPS against lefties in 339 AB's. He and Bour should be a complete platoon and that should be the end of that. But the marlins don't do that so we will give Bour 200 Ab's against lefties and have johnson as a useless bat off the bench.
January 12, 201610 yr Frisaro making it sound like it was gonna be either Johnson or Francoeur for the right handed bench role and they went with Johnson for his versatility and potential to platoon with Bour. The Marlins making good decisions? I'm telling you Loria probably died late last night! Edit: Ken Rosenthal says the Marlins could still add Francoeur but they won't give him a major league deal.

January 13, 201610 yr I said to sign him to platoon Bour when the Indians released him,but seems nobody like this idea at that time,and he was like Jackson need only the minimum salary.
