July 14, 201610 yr need him even less next year is the thing tho You can never have too many bullpen arms. We learned that the past two spring trainings.
July 14, 201610 yr THAT'S A GOOD THING, RIGHT? No. Paddack would have a 1.00 ERA in the big leagues right now.
July 14, 201610 yr He had 2 bad outings when Don decided to over-use him and he has had 4 solid ones. You just choose to comment only on the bad ones. Your bias is showing but yeah I remember some of your best friends are named Fernando Rodney. Your Paddack infatuation has ruined your credibility. First you say Paddack would outperform our other #5 starters this year despite the fact he's in SINGLE-A and now you just overlook Rodney's good days and focus on the bad ones. I'm sure your next reply will be "That's a regression right?" or "Point missed" or some other passive aggressive thing. What? His era was like .3 and his periphs suggested it should be mid twos. That is regression brah.
July 14, 201610 yr We have a strong bullpen that is deep enough to be able to trade from. How can anyone not be happy with that. Have no idea.
July 14, 201610 yr Urena is probably the back up plan until they can hopefully acquire a starter, I can't believe the team really wants him to have that spot.

July 14, 201610 yr Urena is probably the back up plan until they can hopefully acquire a starter, I can't believe the team really wants him to have that spot. I think so too
July 14, 201610 yr I know you love small sample sizes @pollyvonwog almost as much as you love my small... personality. Referring to Rodney's time as a Marlin
July 14, 201610 yr Probably auditioning him for a trade. I'd say he would have a better audition by NOT showcasing him.
July 14, 201610 yr I'd say he would have a better audition by NOT showcasing him. Yeah we can hope they never heard of him or saw him and just imagine he's a good prospect. Smart
July 14, 201610 yr Yeah we can hope they never heard of him or saw him and just imagine he's a good prospect. Smart Well with the jinx that Scoop put on him and the fact that we can't seem to beat teams we are supposed to beat. I'd hide him in a corner and market him as an enforcer for when you need an intentional hit by pitch. There might be some value there.
July 14, 201610 yr By the time Admin gets Allison, Paddack will be working on his hall of fame speech In the way many people here think Paddack would develop,it shouldn't take too long time.
July 14, 201610 yr Teams would take Urena. Some of u imagine trade value as "everyone wants him" or "he's had rough outings so now absolutely no one wants him." It's not that simple, there's middle ground too.

July 14, 201610 yr Urena is probably the back up plan until they can hopefully acquire a starter, I can't believe the team really wants him to have that spot. Of course it's ok to have a backup plan, but I rather give this opportunity to somebody that "whole new" here like Guthrie and Luebke than just keeping try and fail with some "old names" like Urena and Narveson.
July 14, 201610 yr yes there's a good chance most if not all mlb teams would take urena and his 95+ mph fastball To hit someone with bad luck.

July 14, 201610 yr I'd take Urena over Guthrie and luebke Seriously !? we already know what Urena would do with our team and what Guthrie and Luebke would do with other teams, but AT LEAST we still not know what the latter two would do with OUR TEAM,right ?
July 14, 201610 yr Throughout all these trade rumors, there's one guy's name I have not heard mentioned once. Granted, his trade value may be down at the moment, but if I were a team building for the future I would trade for him. I would hate to lose this guy, but he isn't helping our team this year and he plays a position where we have depth. You look at the haul the Phillies got for Ken Giles, and perhaps the answer is to deal Carter Capps. Sent from my iPhone using MarlinsBaseball.com mobile app

Yeah but potential matters here. I'd expect Urena to figure it out sooner than I'd expect the old washed up guys to be good again.
