Strong push for Chapman and Jansen coming

I never sleep after knowing we offered Jansen 5/80.

He may sign that, I don't know at this point. CBSsports says the nats are really interested, so it should be between the Nats and the Marlins. Don't want to lose the pick. Just don't see how Jansen will do much good. It's fool's gold. Is it night in Taiwan? 10 PM?

Marlins

As I wrote last week, I admire the sheer moxie of Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria, his willingness to swing big for free-agent closers such as Jansen and Aroldis Chapman.

Still, I’ll repeat this as well — the best outcome for the Fish would be to strike out on Jansen, retain the No. 14 pick in the draft and sign two other relievers — say, Ziegler and Blanton. Or one reliever and a free-agent starter such as Ivan Nova or Jason Hammel.

Rosenthal opined.
