BTW: I find Edwin Encarnacions last few years of production odd. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets busted for PED usage in the near future.

Why? He's always had power.

 

 

He has always had pop, although wrist injuries did slow down his career. Although he did learn patience and how to work the count better at the plate, his overall hands, and eyes as a player is more along the lines of a Mike Lowell type hitter which is great. But 41 HRs, idk man, I'd have to see a couple more seasons like last one to prove me wrong. It just seems strange that although I do consider all those factors, he just went from 20 HR a season to doubling that figure in a season. Although Rogers center is a hitters park, it just seems odd. I hope Im wrong cause I like him as a player.

Encarnacion would do more to help this team than Jansen or Chapman would.

 

 

I mentioned on this board going after Encarnacion two months ago and my sanity was questioned. Run production is a major problem with this team, Despite ample base runners the constant inability to get runners home has eaten away at this team for years. I would gladly package Bour with Dietrich or Ozuna to bring back pitching and let EE have 1st base. If Loria is prepared to spend then he can do so here. Most likely Jensen or Chapman will go elsewhere anyway.

Fenway can be a homer park.

 

Yankee Stadium at times can be a homer park.

 

Trumbo just hit 40 in that division.  Its no accident when most of the stadiums are homer havens.
