March 6, 20179 yr Rojas is virtually locked into a roster spot outside of injury or a severe underperformance. Gotta remember he's the backup shortstop. Moore Barnes den Dekker Hood and Yefri do not play shortstop. The roster is set.

To paraphrase Major League 2 "Yeah off of guys who'll be bagging groceries in a couple of weeks" Seriously though, he really isn't versatile is he? Dietrich and Rojas can play all the other infield spots along with the outfield, though Moore has pitched a game in the Majors

March 6, 20179 yr All things equal, they are going to default to Rojas and call up others if there's injuries or needs. I think you're right at the moment. But if Moore/den Decker continue to hit and Rojas falls off, they could go with a fifth OF/backup 1B and rotate Dietrich in at short if needed to start the year. Also Dee can play short on off days from 2B. If someone gets hurt they can always ditch the eight man bullpen crap.

March 6, 20179 yr Prove it What's there to prove: Ichiro - 9 (no chance) Ellis - 10 (catcher) Dietrich - 11 (versatile and can play all over, no options i think) Rojas - 12 (only backup ss) not really anything else to prove.
