December 1, 20178 yr Apparently, Jeter felt the guy should be doing his job and not wasting time in a hospital. Gave him the perfect reason to dump more salary!
December 1, 20178 yr This can’t be true, right? I definitely don’t believe everything I read on the internet. So far, I hate this new ownership but I really hope they didn’t knowingly fire this guy under those circumstances.
December 1, 20178 yr I mean, there is a difference between firing the guy and choosing not to renew his contract. Perhaps it was just bad timing...but yeah, definitely a bad look.
December 1, 20178 yr Sound like Scott goes on COBRA. Medicare's only a short time way. A classy organization would continue to cover his health insurance premiums for the COBRA period, considering his long term contributions to the organization. But who knows whether you can characterize this organization as such.
December 1, 20178 yr Author Yeah there could be more to this story and could be a case of bad timing but it is what it is and it sure looks bad up front.
December 1, 20178 yr Hey @SilverBullet1929The new girl is looking more and more like the old bitch! LOL
December 1, 20178 yr Again Jeter passes the buck. Just read all of Sherman's tweets on the this matter. He just became my favorite sports writer!!
December 1, 20178 yr Author Again Jeter passes the buck. Odd, he's usually trying to save a buck instead of passing it.
December 1, 20178 yr Author Hey @SilverBullet1929The new girl is looking more and more like the old bitch! LOL They look the same with the lights off.

December 1, 20178 yr NEW: Marlins plan to lower payroll to around $75M next season, not $90M as previously reported, @CraigMish just said on the show.
December 1, 20178 yr Why not lower it to 25 M, then beer sales alone could cover the team's operations. At this point, will anyone really care how low it goes?
December 1, 20178 yr Why not lower it to 25 M, then beer sales alone could cover the team's operations. I legit laughed wayyyy too much at this. Love it.
