If Conley somehow becomes a superstar, but we get a few prospects and return, that's a chance I'm willing to take. We have to wash our hands of the previous management, and move forward - that includes the development of our prospects.

If this FO and staff are good at developing players, then why wouldn't they be able to develop Conley and others? It's never too late as evidenced by Hand and Miller. So, I would rather hang onto them and try to develop them properly than give them away for fringe prospects. We either trade them for something of value or keep them. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

I'm not entirely thrilled with their IFA signings thus far as they seem to be going for quantity over quality. However, there is still plenty of time so I will reserve judgement until there's more of a clear picture of what they are going to do. #FuckJeterAnyway

I'm not implying that we give him away, but we can't be scared to trade him because he "might" develop into a good pitcher like Miller & Hand did. We don't have the luxury of a deep farm system at this point (which is a shame, since we used to have one of the best, and we have nothing to show for it). We are still at a point in the build/rebuild that we're multiplying, not adding yet. We have to build a solid ML roster, but we have to build depth behind it too. All of that said, we don't ever trade for the sake of trading. If there isn't a good return, hold onto him.

July 8, 20188 yr Marlins need to trade anything of value they can get multiple prospects for. Who cares about relief pitchers when you wont be good for at least 3-4 years. Same in theory applies to their hitters that arent sucking. If they can get good deals, move them out. Who cares. I mean its Mike Hill, so odds are he gets taken, but still.

Bour needs to have a monster second half. There will be more suitors for him in the off season. Right now the problem we are going to have in making any big moves is the fact that only a handful of teams are competitive.
