But seriously.  I sort of get why theyre doing this. Think about how much time we have spent here fiddling around with leaked images and colors.   Most people haven’t done this so these images may be their first exposure and therefore this is their breaking in period for accepting the new scheme.  You don’t want a reveal that is roundly rejected so this our colores business is greasing the wheels.  Think about 2011.  That was a shock to the system and probably lead to a lot of the initial negetivity on a design which eventually gained enough acceptance

No date was ever announced.  Some random clown online started the Nov 1 rumor.  You raise a good point though.  Maybe they’re scheduling around certain things.  The Heat has their uniform reveal this week.  Election Day was a bit of a spotlight day for the MLS team. Perhaps this weeks calendar was taken up.  It’s gotta be next week though.

If they extend this 2 or three weeks its probably too much but it's been less than a week and it's getting people talking. If it wasn't for social media making it seem like this is literally forever people would be loving this type of build.

 

Also I like the mural idea just hate what it looks like... but again, if they do a few murals and get people talking it probably works out in the long run.

I am still trying to figure out what the main piece in the mural is? or what type of creature is holding the cafecito on the right side? or why the Ibis? has a chain around his neck?

I don't think we have to look into the mural for much real info. I think they just got a street artist and told him make whatever you want with some Miami flavor but it must have these colors. It doesn't seem any more important than that.

I think we need to bring in one of those forensic art experts to give us the true meanings between every line on it.

New mural. Even if that first one was ugly I like the idea of sprinkling these in throughout the city. It raises awareness also believe it or not, not everyone is on social media so the amount of people these murals will reach will expand the teases further than social media alone would.

I don't disagree, but when the mural in question looks like a demented/deformed bird, and who knows what this new one is - that have nothing to do with the Marlins, will they really draw a connection to the team if you DON'T see it on social media?

 

I drove by the one from yesterday after work.  If I didn't know it was done by the team, there was absolutely nothing about it that would link it to the Marlins.  John Doe/Juan Perez walking by would see no connection to the Marlins.  They may look at it and think 'oh cool' but otherwise there's no connection right now.   Now maybe after the logo is revealed, they'll plop a logo in the corner, but right now, there's otherwise no direct connection to the team.

Maybe they’re waiting for the Japan series to end for the uniform reveal.  We’ve got Donny and J.T. wearing the 12-18 design over there at the moment so perhaps they wait to close the book on that before opennng the next one 

 

 

Geez this Japan thing doesn’t end until Thursday.  Hope I’m wrong about the timing
