January 25, 20197 yr maybe they both flame out and i rant and rave and tag everything with #fuckjeter IT COULD HAPPEN I'd rather have two top prospects who could flame out then just one. Can't put all your eggs in one basket.
January 25, 20197 yr Ugh, so the story continues. What do we end up getting you think? Probably some baseball players.
January 25, 20197 yr Makes perfect sense to ask for Ruiz as a player back in a trade with the Dodgers.
January 25, 20197 yr I'd rather have two top prospects who could flame out then just one. Can't put all your eggs in one basket. And that would be double tragedies.
January 25, 20197 yr And that would be double tragedies. Not if it means that Mike Hill is finally held accountable.
January 25, 20197 yr Pederson, Ruiz, lux/may We aren't likely to get Lux or May if we get Ruiz and Pederson.
January 25, 20197 yr We aren't likely to get Lux or May if we get Ruiz and Pederson. We aren't getting Pederson and Ruiz, I F'in wish but that has a 0.01% chance of happening. Something fair would be Ruiz/May/Gray like I saw mentioned on Twitter. All have high ceilings and could be core players for a playoff team in the future.

January 25, 20197 yr I like Joc but we need a lot more with him. Agreed. I'm surprised that I haven't seen much made of the thing that Joc's salary this year is about $5 million, slightly short of JT's. Essentially, Joc being in that deal would be us trading away a better and more valuable player for a lesser valued player who makes essentially the same salary, who is under control for about the same length of time. They'd have to give us a bit to offset that. Or, in the least, take a contract off of our hands to make sense to us in the cost-cutting aspects. That's hard to think that'll happen, unless Mattingly is guaranteeing that Joc will become a perennial All Star, and will sign a long term deal with the Marlins.

January 25, 20197 yr Can't put all your eggs in one basket. Sure you can. How many eggs do you buy at one time?
January 25, 20197 yr Dolphins are now interested in Realmuto. Liar, they are rebuilding. It makes no sense for them to take on a guy under control for 2 seasons only.
January 26, 20197 yr Funny how people are still commenting on that tweet as if they'll never get anyone to meet their price... the tweet makes it pretty clear that the price is about to be matched.
January 26, 20197 yr I don’t know how some of you are able to follow this day in and day out. They’ve been shopping JT for a year.
January 26, 20197 yr I don’t know how some of you are able to follow this day in and day out. They’ve been shopping JT for a year. Yes its annoying but to be honest its just a matter of checking here and bleacher report every once in a while. Having access on our phones is what makes it happen so easily.
January 26, 20197 yr If they're talking about getting an extension window then they have to be farther along than any other team. Could really be heading near the finish line finally. Also, if Realmuto goes to SD he may ask for a trade from there soon enough as well. That team isn't exactly locked into a winning season in 2019 either.
