Realmuto traded to Phillies

I'd rather have two top prospects who could flame out then just one. Can't put all your eggs in one basket.

And that would be double tragedies.

We aren't likely to get Lux or May if we get Ruiz and Pederson.

We aren't getting Pederson and Ruiz, I F'in wish but that has a 0.01% chance of happening. Something fair would be Ruiz/May/Gray like I saw mentioned on Twitter. All have high ceilings and could be core players for a playoff team in the future.

I'd be very happy with Ruiz and May. They can add anything after that.

I like Joc but we need a lot more with him.

Agreed. I'm surprised that I haven't seen much made of the thing that Joc's salary this year is about $5 million, slightly short of JT's. Essentially, Joc being in that deal would be us trading away a better and more valuable player for a lesser valued player who makes essentially the same salary, who is under control for about the same length of time. They'd have to give us a bit to offset that. Or, in the least, take a contract off of our hands to make sense to us in the cost-cutting aspects. That's hard to think that'll happen, unless Mattingly is guaranteeing that Joc will become a perennial All Star, and will sign a long term deal with the Marlins.

is this going to be the next YouTube challenge?  Seems rather boring.

I don’t know how some of you are able to follow this day in and day out.  They’ve been shopping JT for a year.

Yes its annoying but to be honest its just a matter of checking here and bleacher report every once in a while. Having access on our phones is what makes it happen so easily.

If they're talking about getting an extension window then they have to be farther along than any other team. Could really be heading near the finish line finally.

Also, if Realmuto goes to SD he may ask for a trade from there soon enough as well. That team isn't exactly locked into a winning season in 2019 either.
