Realmuto traded to Phillies

Featured Replies

Also, if Realmuto goes to SD he may ask for a trade from there soon enough as well. That team isn't exactly locked into a winning season in 2019 either.

San Diego was projected to win 78 games without Realmuto and whoever else they acquire.

The Padres aren’t the Yankees.  But they’re not the Marlins either.

Oh I know... and I know what I said... Realmuto wants to go to a contender and there's a chance the Padres finish with a losing record. When he asked for a trade he probably imagined going to a stud team and he may not get that.

I don’t know how some of you are able to follow this day in and day out.  They’ve been shopping JT for a year.

it's more exciting than the games they played last season.  i'm not even kidding unfortunately.

actually I'm scared of the Padres return having Paddack and Naylor included

Why? I know it'll be mocked due to the fact the Marlins traded them, but that shouldn't be a factor. If their inclusion makes it a better package, there's no reason to avoid them.

I think they can get a better return from the doyers

I am hoping there's a bidding war going on between LA and SD.

I honestly think the doyers could include verdugo/Ruiz or Ruiz/May package , No way the padres will include tatis in any package

Don't discount the fact that the two teams involved here are division rivals. Blocking the other team from getting JT is almost as important as the benefit of getting JT for themselves and it could force one team to really give in to the Marlins ask. This is obviously all to our advantage.

Also, hadn't realized how highly ranked Chris Paddack is nowadays. I already knew the Rodney trade was bad but it's pretty laughable now.

The Padres could easily compete with the Rockies for a wildcard spot.

Tatis is better than any package of 2 players the Dodgers could put together of their prospects.
