Oh I know... and I know what I said... Realmuto wants to go to a contender and there's a chance the Padres finish with a losing record. When he asked for a trade he probably imagined going to a stud team and he may not get that.

January 26, 20197 yr Don't discount the fact that the two teams involved here are division rivals. Blocking the other team from getting JT is almost as important as the benefit of getting JT for themselves and it could force one team to really give in to the Marlins ask. This is obviously all to our advantage. Also, hadn't realized how highly ranked Chris Paddack is nowadays. I already knew the Rodney trade was bad but it's pretty laughable now.
