Im hoping Reynolds is the target cause I’m not interested in Conforto at all and would really be interested in Castellanos at a price that I’m sure he won’t take.

Then again, it ain’t my money, so they can do whatever they want lol.

Conforto would certainly not be a bad backup plan if the Reynolds trade doesn't come to fruition. Problem is his defense is ... ehh. So we're talking Avisail confirmed in center if that happens.

Bob Costas had an interesting suggestion for the playoffs with 12 teams.

All three division winners get into the NLDS with a bye.

The top wild card team (4th seed) is guaranteed a home wild card series.

The other two wild card teams would play a single game (6th seed @ 5th seed) with the winner going to play a best of three at the 4th seed's ballpark.

After that, whittles down to the main four and goes like normal.

Yeah but that’s why I say that. He can slide into CF and put everyone in the position they should be at instead of having three left fielders. Conforto is another high power low Average guy and I don’t feel they need that. I feel they need some on base abilities to set the table

7+ would be outstanding. 10+ is what 20 other teams in baseball would do.

No CF prospect, praying Luzardo and Cabrera are good, and keeping payroll at $60m. Put up.

Conforto sucks defensively, Garcia would effectively be the CF if all they did was get him.

I can get behind Conforto as a DH if they DFA/trade Aguilar to make that money sort of a wash (Cooper/Lewin 1B platoon in this scenario). That's also assuming Conforto is OK with a 1-2 year deal and isn't much more than $10m. I think he will want more.

ya Conforto has less than zero business in CF.

I'd probably prefer Garcia in CF and that will be a bad idea in and of itself.

Certainly feels that way given the way Mish has openly spoken about him. I truly thought it was going to be Cedric Mullins, and maybe this is a little deception from Mish. We know that he doesn’t traditionally like speaking on trades before they happen

In theory, off-season is over and now is the time of spring training and a short one, so this team better to acquire their wanted players ASAP to give them the most workouts.
