I'd agree with this.  I still wish we'd have signed one of the big SS guys to drop on top of all of the other moves, and we wouldn't be needing Reynolds, unless they just wanted him.

Yeah, he obviously wont be as good as 2021 again but I doubt he is as bad as 2022 either. Somewhere in the middle perhaps. Worth a try regardless.

Idk, it could go both ways. Maybe he'll be closer to 2021 than 2022 and he ends up being our big bat. There's a lot of uncertainty on this team. Avi and Soler are both wildcards, to start. We have some pitchers in the rotation that can take the next step or regress, and I personally am worried about Jazz staying on the field. It'll be a ride for sure

People who hate that term are getting their signals crossed. Batting average itself is overrated because it is only a partial measure of how many times a guy gets on base, but if you win a batting title, chances are, you are getting on base at a pretty reasonable clip unless you don't walk at all, which is fairly rare for a batting champ because batting champs typically have solid plate discipline.

Case in point, Arraez has a lifetime OBP of .374, which is really freaking good.

So batting title or not he can fucking hit... the one fucking thing the Marlins have been seriously lacking in recent seasons!

Right.

He battles every time to the plate, fights off pitches, gets on base and rarely strikes out. I am struggling to see how he doesn't improve this team.
