According to Craig they never offered him a contract so they flat out didn't want him even after taking multiple looks at him. So can't say they lost out on him.

Yeah and that’s fine with me, it’s just weird that there was all this nonsense being made from every source about how they’re pursuing him and then not even an offer? Just kinda odd

My thinking is the same in the every off-season, just to add as many good players as possible and I also want to WIN in the off-season, didn't it's a WIN if we beat other teams to acquire a player ? (of course sometimes you just don't need to beat anybody to acquire a player …).

Seems to be the only truth was they went to see him in person twice and didn't offer him anything which means they didn't think he was good enough to bother with so that's fine with me.
