I agree, we can definitely do that and have a better roster overall than we have today. 

Cabrera for Brendan Rodgers was apparently a thing earlier this offseason.

I’m actually not sure how I’d feel about that, but it’s a trade that makes more sense today than it did yesterday.

Supposedly the Rockies walked away from that but speculation is they would’ve done it for Luzardo.

I wouldn’t mind seeing what we can get for Luzardo, but I value him higher than the other 3 and would hope for more than a Brendan Rodgers type player in return.

Luzardo’s our best lefty, imo, and I think he’ll be our #2 if everything stays the same.

I really liked what I saw from him last year and agree he should be our 2

I feel like both make so much sense here. Like it makes sense for both of them as much as it does for us. Reyes is Sandy's friend and I think his brother is Sandy's agent. And Yuli is Cuban lol and needs a bounce back spot.

Arraez is not a good 2B. 

I’d much prefer Arraez at 1B with Garrett Cooper off the team. Maybe sign a guy like Gurriel as a backup 1B and someone who can play against lefties too. 

Trading 1 of our lower end pitchers for a Rodgers type of player (or MarlinsLou’s favorite guy in Cleveland, Rosario) and trading Cooper for a reliever or something would make some sense.

In an ideal world where we are ok with Jazz playing CF, we get a SS (which seems easier than getting a CF’er these days), and put Wendle at 3B (where he has more experience) and Jean at 2B (where he also has more experience/his best defensive position).

This is what I thought you were implying but you'd hadn't mentioned getting rid of Cooper so I had to ask. 

Could be wrong but it feels like we've added more big league players than usual in an offseason for the Marlins. Hopefully the roster sees this as a confidence boost as in "hey they're adding because they think we can win." That plus a new coaching staff should send a strong message to the team as far as expectations as opposed to the usual route of "hey we think this team is good enough as is, good luck."

Still a lot of work to do. Not sure any moves they've made this offseason really matter if they dont keep going. Adding Profar and/or Yuli at the very least still needs to be done.. and if they do that, you may as well trade for Reynolds lol

I also feels like this deserves an asterisk because they had to add more than usual this year because they didn’t do enough last year, when it was obvious they needed to do more.

Possible to trade for Ha Seong Kim? The Padres have a glut of infielders. Could any combo of Cabrera, Rogers, Garrett, Eder, McCambley, Watson, and Berry get it done? I’m a lot more comfortable trading Cabrera if they can hold on to Eury.

It's still not enough, but I'm not calling for her firing anymore. At this point, I understand why they don't feel comfortable giving up prospects to trade for Reynolds. But they need to figure something out...

At least Gurriel or Profar. We can figure out the next big bat at the deadline
