Yes the easy stance is that if it doesn't count towards MLB standings or MLB postseason then it's meaningless.

But anyone watching these WBC games would be a fool to not realize that these players give a shit about this and because of that then so do the fans. There is also a significant difference between the attendance and TV ratings of many of these games compared to a huge chunk of games within the MLB season. 

So these intense WBC games are meaningless but a boring ass Marlns vs Pirates game on a random Tuesday in August would be considered meaningful? 

It's ridiculous. 

All professional baseball games are just entertainment so none of them are truly meaningful so from there it's just about enjoying the game. Considering how much people enjoy these games then to truthfully consider these WBC games meaningless would be so ignorant.

this has been an incredible tournamnet on so many levels.  

this WBC may do for baseball what Manfred truly was hoping it would do, which is to start to grow this sport on a more global level.

What Great Britian did (ignoring their jerseys) is going to do wonders for them.  I read reports that they were getting some big viewership of their games.  And to qualify for the next one will only do wonders.  I hope MLB truly invests money into baseball in the UK.

The London series is just the start of this.  

The ratings were insane.  The crowds at many of the big games were insane.  

Just an all out fantastic tournament and so great for the game in general. 

Literally a perfect ending too. Teammate striking out a teammate and two of the best in the world to boot. Classic. Literally perfection. Good for MLB all the way around.

The WBC broadcasts for the Taipei games made a big deal of Li Lin and he looked like such a star whenever I saw him. Any knowledge or interest in him? Don't know why I never got an answer to this. Thought it was a fair question. If I'm a baseball fan living in Taiwan I don't see how I wouldn't watch some CPBL. Giljegiljaw looks like a cool dude to me...

I said it long time ago but obviously you forgot it already. I'm a diehard fan of CPBL in the age of 17~20 (I'm 45 now), my favorite team disbanded due to the match-fixing scandal in the 1996 and it's why I become a Marlins fan in the 1997 season, I choose this team because Huizenga spends like Cohen in the 96/97 off-season.
