Yeah, I remember during the offseason having a few discussions with you specifically about this topic and we were both on the same page about the whole key and only proven thing to increase the Marlins attendance is a competitive team that is winning, and as we've seen from history have the Marlins in a playoff hunt in September, guarantee they'll have full stadiums every night. Correa might have helped add a few wins over the course of a season. But I don't think that just him by himself would have made a noticeable difference in W/L total with everything else on the roster remaining the same. Much in the same way that Starling Marte helped a lot, but at end of the day, the Marlins would have still had a losing season in 2021 even if they hadn't traded him to Oakland that year.

Well, anyway, all these discussions don't really matter. Because the complete reality is that the Marlins need a really big overhaul of their roster if they want to be competitive in the NL East. A lot of pieces need to be added/changed including bullpen. Until then, it will probably be a lot more of the same.

Well, he's the reigning AL batting champ. And he is something that we have rarely seen from Marlins players - consistent.

Jacob Pitchings is Stalling.

It really is the ultimate embarrassment when you put a position player in pitching.  It's like putting your walkons on in college because the game is no longer competitive.  The announcers are laughing and joking while every single person in the organization should be embarrassed by this.

What will it take for Sherman to realize he needs to buy his way out of this, and he needs to do more than just tinker?
