I don't want to watch amateurs play sports (also why the Olympics mostly bore me). If I'm giving something my time it's going to at least be at the professional level. I've seen some games here and there over the years that are even considered sports "classics" because I happened to be with a friend who was into college football and even college football games that go into OT are simply dull as dishwater to me. The overall caliber of play is just...NOT there versus a pro level competition.

August 23, 20233 yr This is probably our last shot to put together a meaningful win streak. Over the next 10 games, we play SD once, WAS 7 times, and TB 2 times. It'd be nice to be 7+ games over 500 after this stretch. That means going 7-3. It's very doable and will probably put us in the middle of the WC teams with a few games of padding. Then they're going to need to dig deep within themselves and answer how much they really want this. They play LAD 3 times, PHI 3 times, MIL 7 fucking times, and ATL 3 times. That's 16 very difficult games. They play NYM 6 times and PIT 3 times to counterbalance it Besides Philly, they will not play any of their direct competition for the WC spots, so it will be a matter of putting your head down and winning. If anything this season shows why they do have to add even more to this team which is finally closer than ever. They added significantly at the trade deadline. They'll add again in the offseason. 2024 looks promising to me.
