April 5, 20233 yr It's crazy that a pitcher as good as Sandy is on a team like the Marlins. Where he has to pitch complete game shutouts just to give the Marlins a chance to win. 😂 I was thinking yesterday when Johnny Cueto started the game how it seems like the Marlins always either have elite players at the very beginning of their careers when they're just starting out and starting to get good and then those players move on to other teams and become superstars guys or they have former elite players at the tail end of their careers when they're not the same as before and just finishing off their careers. There have only been a handful of elite players that have played on the Marlins during their peak years, Stanton for just a couple of them, and right now Sandy Alcantara. It's a shame the ballpark is so empty on a night Sandy pitches. Because I have a feeling that in 10 years we will be looking back and thinking like "Man, I can't believe we had Sandy Alcantara playing on all those terrible Marlins teams during those years." 😂

If he pitches more than 209 innings this year (228 2/3) last year, then he will move from 9th in innings pitched all the way up to 3rd.
