Spencer Jones - college - A+ ball and hitting well. These are just a few examples from last years draft. Yeah, we need to clean house in hitting coaches and whoever is running the draft targets for hitters.
June 1, 20233 yr i dont really like our draft strategy of drafting old ass pitchers and college hitters. hs guys are boom with lots of busts but they have way more upside. drafting 22 year old and 23 yeard old pitchers is just stupid, imo.

We've done fine with pitching, so I don't care what they do there. The hitting drafting is what's been terrible.

June 14, 20233 yr Author Why are both Amaya and Edward's still in AAA? DFA Hampson and Davis and bring them up. Edwards can play CF until Jazz is ready and Amaya can take over at SS. Move Wendle over to 3rd base and let Jean be a utility player. He can play all over the infield and he can at least still play defense. Also, this Dane Meyers kid looks really interesting. He was a pitcher until recently when he was converted into a hitter. Might have a shot at 1B. We need to extend the lineup. Stallings, Segura, Hampson, amd Davis are pretty much black holes. Let's at least see what sticks from our minor leagues before the trade deadline so we can better assess our needs.

We know what we have , or better yet, don't have with Hampson.

The bigger problems are still Segura and Stallings taking roster spots (Cooper too for that matter)

I just picture a liner going right by him and he doesn't even realize it and is still standing there tapping his hand in his glove when DLC hits him in the back of the head as he tries to hit him as the cut off man.
