Outperforming FIP by a bit and supposedly we shift really well, allegedly, apparently, perhaps, so that should continue? If it comes down to it, he can also play center field and hit a little.

July 29, 20233 yr You guys might be joking about making him a 2-way player, but it’s not a bad idea lol. Lorenzen would probably be our best defensive outfielder, and he’s also a better hitter than Garrett Hampson who’s basically been on the roster all year. I wonder if it’s a part of the reason why they want him, at least as a defensive replacement in the late innings. We have some outfielders who are really bad defensively. Also, there’s the thought of, if we make the playoffs, he would probably have to go to the bullpen, which he’s done before. I remember him pitching out of the pen in Cincinnati, his velocity is capable of spiking up to 100+ mph.

Even then we still need another option. Btw DLC has been great to watch outside of those GIDP he does a little too often sometimes but so does the rest of the team. Feels like the catcher position won't be addressed until the offseason so getting another SP, 3B would go a long way.
