Segura traded for literally any other player besides Robert Dugger. Check out this Marlins lineup: 1. Luis Arraez - 2B 2. Xavier Edwards - CF 3. Jazz Chisholm - SS 4. Jorge Soler - DH 5. Yuli Gurriel - 1B 6. Jesus Sanchez - RF 7. Bryan De La Cruz - LF 8. Dane Myers - 3B 9. Nick Fortes - C That lineup would cost the Marlins absolutely nothing additional in salary costs, and the craziest thing is that with just one phone call that lineup could be in place by tomorrow. (Well, obviously not with Jazz on the IL, but in theory it could be). That would be a crazy fun lineup, especially if Edwards hitting could come closer to how it is in AAA, currently hitting .350 with a .861 OPS and 28 stolen bases. Actually imagine having Arraez and Edwards hitting 1-2, with Arraez being a LH batter and Edwards being a Switch hitter and if Edwards can keep the BA up over .300 and keep with the SB that would probably be the closest we will ever see again to a Pierre/Castillo combo, even more than a Arraez/Jazz 1-2. Maybe not as bad as giving up a top SP prospect but frustrating that we didn't just give Edwards the chance to replace Segura or Wendle outright himself.

Can dane play 3b? id love candelario if price isn’t terrible. everything around his breakout this year looks legit. Massive upgrade over Jean. Doubt fish could afford to resign him though
