But also I guess I should point out that not all stores are the same prices across the board.. so combos in one state could be like $1-2 higher on average compared to the next state over.. or even different metro areas in the same state.

But I just checked the Taco Bell website and yep on average the combos are around $9 something to $11 something each.. so with tax the total comes out to around $10-$12 depending on what you get.

Fun fact. There is a White Castle in Orlando, FL. I think it’s the only one in the southeast US.

Krystal while very similar is actually a different company complete. Heavily inspired by White Castle obviously. Like the founders of Krystal ate at a White Castle and got inspired.. to make an exact copy it seems. But it’s not the same company in the same way that Carl Jrs/Hardee’s and Checkers/Rallys are the same company with different names in different regions of the US.

This is way more believable as that place can be quite regional, plenty of cities don't have one.

I myself have never eaten at a Sonics.

For the longest time it's because there's none near me and I literally had never seen one and a friend and I would always say that the day we saw one we would eat there, no questions asked it was now mandatory. Since then we've seen a couple when we've gone out of town but we never stuck to our word and we still haven't eaten there lol.

Sonic and Whataburger are weird in the the sense that the ones east of Texas seemingly always suck but if you get them in Texas or west of - they're good as hell usually. Sonics are nearly as common as McDonald's when you're traveling through stretches of Texas.

I miss when they use to skate your order out to you though and give you a tray that connected to your car door frame. Them were the days.

If you live in South Florida. At least one of those locations should be close enough to you to consider trying it out.
 

I have lived several miles away from a Sonic the past couple of years. Maybe went like 5-10 times. Unfortunately the one near me is terrible. Terrible service.. expensive for the amount of food you’re getting (but so are all fast food places now days) and just overall not that special. But that’s just one location. Of course like any fast food restaurant it can be a wildly different experience from one location to the other. But it is cool in the sense that you have your own parking space with a huge menu next to each individual parking space and you can take your time to choose what you want and press a button when you’re ready to order instead of being rushed by the person taking your order on a regular drive thru. And the other cool thing about it is besides the usual burgers and fries and stuff they have some other type of items that you can’t get most other drive through places like chili dogs and chili cheese fries. 😂
