Roster Moves Thread - 2025 Season

Featured Replies

Individual threads for meaningful moves.

Mega thread for minor moves.

That's the best approach!

Exactly what @rmc523 and others said.

If you're ever unsure if it's a meaningful move or not, there's no harm in starting an individual thread. Nobody is going to tell you off for it so don't worry too much about it.

I will tell them off for it.

I'm fine with that but threads like the offseason thread were horrible to follow, especially when every other thread on the first page was there for months.

I like to be able to go on a message board and see, "Oh X happened?" click*.

Not... oh there 4 new pages in the off season thread I wonder what happened

nobody cares that Jeff Redbalm and Ronny Valdez got called up for 3 hours and sent back down.

Valdez sucked but I did see potential in Redbalm, hoping he gets another opportunity soon.

Weathers permitting, of course.

Weathers will weather the weather whatever the weather whether the weather is good or bad.

Now over to Ryan with the Weather.

My favorite was in MLB 2K10 when I was facing a pitcher named "Hi Cook"

This is definately to start tonight. He pitched on Tuesday, but they pulled him early despite only allowing 1 baserunner in the game. They did something similar when he threw 34 pitches at AAA on April 4th and then started a game with the Marlins on April 7th. My guess is that he will hold the rotation spot until Weathers comes back because they don't have the balls to demote Quantrill or Cabrera out of the rotation.

Also Nick Fortes started a rehab assignment last night. Might be nothing, but Nick Fortes was the catcher for Sandy's first 2 starts.

Sandy's stats with Nick Fortes: 9.2 IP, 3.72 ERA, 3.37 FIP, .502 OPS against, 10.24 K/9, 3.72 BB/9

Sandy stats while Nick Fortes has been hurt: 16.1 IP, 11.02 ERA, 6.86 FIP, .922 OPS against, 4.41 K/9, 7.16 BB/9

Fortes should be back with the big league club by Monday. Just in time for Sandy's next start.

Time to go with 3 catchers?
