Berardino lists MANY trade targets
If we're building for 2010, then I prefer Max Ramirez, Salty or Teagarden. If we're talking about pushing for the playoffs this year, then I like Laird. No question that all three of the younger guys have higher ceilings. But this year, we're buyers, not sellers.... We need someone for the present, not the future. For the record, I prefer Doumit to Laird, but I like both over Molina or Torrealba. couldn't agree more, could we get max or teagarden or salty, what would it take? but like DC said, i would take Doumit or Laird over both molina and Torrealba and not just because of the contracts...

Marlins Bullpen
Give me Fuentes. The phillies are after him and colorado is apparently willing to deal him...What do you think he would cost and would you trade a de la cruz for him? Or do you think we can give less

Pitchers Park
From Jason Starks article Ballpark figures: The Marlins aren't saying much yet about the design of their new ballpark. But team president David Samson will say this: It won't remind anybody of Coors Field, Citizens Bank Park or the Great American Ballpark. "It will definitely be a pitchers' park," Samson said. "That's very important to us -- because pitching wins." http://proxy.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/story...;page=rumblings

Deal for New Ballpark on Table
One part i found interesting is number 44. it calls for the marlins and city to study the feasibility of renovating the homestead complex for use for either a spring training or minor league team

Anybody ever noticed?

Nice post Admin. You cheer on your team, your city, its not about the individual person, it is what he wears across his chest that matters. Go Marlins

Mark Buehrle
Interesting, although I'm not sure he's worth it. 4-3 on the white sox with a 3.45 era and 1.09 whip in the american league with a 56-17 K/BB ratio Ill take him

Mark Buehrle
It's a little early for the buyer/seller decision, says Admin Beinfest. A rival general manager had an interesting thought: Maybe the Florida Marlins, who always go against the grain of what others expect them to do, will make a run at Mark Buehrle, if the White Sox place the left-hander on the market. Florida certainly is in the race, standing 5? games out, and as the general manager said, "If they wanted to trade for Buehrle, they certainly would have [the prospects] to do it."

6/19: Fish @ White Sox
Amezaga CF Uggla 2B Ramirez SS Cabrera 3B Willingham LF Boone 1B Olivo C Wood DH Carroll RF Andy Gonzalez LF Iguchi 2B Konerko 1B Dye RF Fields 3B Terrero CF Uribe SS Cintron DH Hall C Willis vs. Danks Danks probably gets the worst run support of any of our starters, which is saying something. He could have easily started 6-2 had we even been average on offense, but he's had some trouble with his off speed pitches lately. If he has the off speed stuff working, he'll have a good night, but if not you guys will score some runs. And Thome has a stiff back, and is taking the night off with a lefty on the mound. Iguchi, Fields, and Terrero are probably the only 3 hitters in our lineup tonight that are even a threat right now. I'd also like to take this opportunity to apologize for the Sox TV and Radio announcers in advance btw. No, Sox fans don't like them either. I know a lot of people around here are hard on hermida right now...but hasnt he hit lefties well or am i mistaken? if so then i would have liked to see him in the lineup tonight
-
Daaaaamn the Fish look good tonight!
0-1 with those Jerseys. Never wear them again. i think it has something to do with the soft tossing lefties rather then the uniforms
- weather for tonight

Pitching for the Indians/Marlins series...
thanks. Lets see if he can come out like he did against atlanta. TB's pitcher for sunday is 0-1 with a 7.7 era jetsmania...his name is sonnanstine and he is a good prospect that they have...just cause he had a rough first major league outing doesnt mean he isnt a good pitcher...
-
Welcome to.500
drays will be good in a few years...great young lineup...there rotation will be sick with kazmir, shilds, howell and sonnarstein (dont know if that is spelled right)...as we proven this year you can go out and get a bullpen when you are ready to compete...they remind me of the marlins back in 00, 01, and 02 Tswift could not be more one...i didnt even consider price and other prospects in addition to whats developing at the major league level

Bottom Feeders @ Fish; 7:05 from the stadium

Who would in in a series 1997 team or 2003 team?
i would love to see some of those pitching duels... brown vs. beckett leiter vs. penny levan vs. dtrain there were some great pitchers on both teams...add guys that got injured like fernandez and burnett in the end i feel like the 03 team would win, the 97 team played a sloppy world series and the 03 team was unstopable down the stretch Well maybe it was a sloppy world series, but do you remember how stacked the cleveland team was? yea they were stacked, but the defense and pitching in 03 was outstanding and we all know that wins chamionships...you could make the case that the 03 yankees were better then the 97 indians...that lineup was sick and there pitching with clemens, petite, moose, and wells the yankees had better pitching than the indians but the indians had Manny, Jim Thome, david justice, sandy alomar, brian giles, omar vizquel and matt williams. posada, giambi, jeter, soriano, matsui, and then add in boone and williams...not a pushover either, yea the indians team was very good, i just think the 03 yankees were a little better
