  1. Which gyms are these. I think I need to get their autographs. lol.
  2. Did you get an autograph, or ask him to spot you? Where was this, just curious.

I'm praying he ends up a Pirate or a Royal. Nothing looks right in a Nats jersey.
  4. Heh--- He's a puss. I used to play Goalie in High School without a cup. You need reflexes like a cat to pull it off. I had them. But one day, a puck squeezed through my legs---tickled me in ways my ex girlfriend could only wish----and that was it. Moved to a regular player cup tucked into tighty whities until it cracked in half one practice on a shot. Now I wear a bullet proof vest--- Previous
  5. I wish Wrigley would have given him the bottle with the beer. Real classy sir. You can't spell "Class" without "Ass". :thumbup BTW, nice of you to delete my comment about the Phillies Faithful dumping Batteries on JD Drew. :lol
  6. I wish Wrigley would have given him the bottle with the beer. Anybody remember when the reliver threw the chair into the stands or when the phillies fans would pelt jd drew with batteries.
  7. Easy, because his shoulder has more holes then Jenna Jameson know's what to do with. I wouldn't risk his health, I woul djust let him recouperate an extra few months. Shut him down, and look out for the long term.
  8. I say he doesn't get called up this year, or if he does not until August 30th. Let him Sit, and get ready for next year truthfully. 6 Months of rest is what he needs.
  9. Just a heads up, but make sure whoever pays the 15 paypal that they mark it as personal/gift. It'll avoid fees, I just found that out today. Wish I knew earlier.
  10. I'd say Piazza was more important as a whole. CJ and Pudge got us a world series, but Piazza was essential to moving salary and rebuilding towards the second WS. Pudge was a one and done, and although he was great while here he was just a money mercenary. Following the green where ever it led (at one time to Japan if no MLB team wanted him). CJ was our 1st DP, GG, 97 WS Catcher. If I were doing it based on contributions in games alone, it would be CJ Benito Santiago Pudge Bob Natal Piazza If I were based on contributions to the organization as a whole, it would be very different. Piazza (based on the salary dump/prospects recieved) CJ (based on 97 WS) Santiago (Based on popularity and 1st catcher for the fish) Pudge (Based on 03 WS alone, because he was a money hungry punk) Redmond (based on his leadership on the team and teaching Irod the SP's upon arrival) Zaun (Was the man behind the plate in 98, was underrated as a MLB Player and marlin) Natal (IDK who the hell he was, but I have his card and I find it funny) Ramon Castro is a distant last, because he had "Baby Toes"
  11. Jose Offerman and Todd Bertuzzi. Look em up In hockey I had someone slash their stick and hit me in the throat under my goalie mask. I punched him in the nuts, pulled him down, and after he removed my helmet to try to hit me with it I was "forced" to break his nose and ribs. I looked like a skin head for 2 weeks with a scar near my eye, but he looked like an idiot for instigating a fight with a goalie a foot shorter then him in full gear and getting injured.
  12. What happened to Mike Piazza for catcher? Piazza did nothing for this team in the week or so he was here. Personally I would go with CJ over Pudge. CJ won 3 GGs here (I believe the first to do so as a Marlin),was an AS, helped us win the Series in '97 by setting MLB records for consecutive games without an error or passed ball, and was a local boy (Ft Pierce) that was the team's first ever draft pick (out of The U). Pretty impressive Marlins bio. Although he helped us win a WS in '03, Pudge signed a 1 year contract with us and made it known it was because he wanted to show he could stay healthy for an entire season (he hadn't been able to do that in previous recent years) and that he could contribute to a team. It was well known if the opportunity presented itself he would go for the $$$ after that season. It did, and he did. And I would question whether Cabrera should being included in the OF. I know he was a fav of most, but... However, seeing 3B should go to Lowell, I guess Miggy should be included someplace. I'm going to argue that aquireing Piazza was more important then any other Trade we did in that firesale. CJ, Sheff, Bonilla were all making massive amounts of money at the time, and we got their medicore declining talent at the plate off the books to start. (Sheff found the clear, but CJ and Bonilla never had a good year at the plate after 97) Then we got a HOF Caliber Catcher, who we traded for one of the most dominant pitchers in the league for 5 years and a CF who netted us in another trade the catalyst for the 2003 World Series. Look at all the facts. Piazza wiped salary AND helped build for the future in 2003. Not bad for a guy who played 5 games, and got his only triple of the season with the Marlins. The guy hated being traded by the dodgers, but he was upset to be traded from the Marlins too. He's a self professed Miami Native, and wanted to play for us last year (Rabelo/Treanor). Thank God Baker proved to be a valuable asset. Basically- Cj, Bo, Sheff for Piazza, Zeile Piazza for AJ and Preston Wilson Preston Wilson for Juan Pierre. Zeile Netted us 2 Minor League Prospects also
  13. I personally feel you are overestimating what Uggla will get in arbitration. Yes he'll get a pay raise from the $5.25 million I believe he got this past year, but to say he can possibly get $8 million is a little ludicrous. Please read the post, like your algebra class, all work has been shown. THANKS You can show your work all you want, I just disagree with it. I mean Uggla's drop in production over the last 2-3 years stands for something in its own right. Utley got the money he did because he showed constant production, Uggla has not done that in certain areas throughout his career. Looks up---
  14. If I was GM, I'd pass on Cantu (1B is is only positon now), Trade Uggla, and Maybe keep Hermida for one more year or trade him dependign on how our OF Prospects develop/Contriubute this september. Move Coghlan to 3B, Bonifacio to 2B, Call up Morrison for LF, and Slot Gaby Sanchez at 3B. Lineup Without Herm 1.Maybin CF 2.Coghlan 3B 3.Ramirez SS 4.Gaby Sanchez 1B 5.Logan Morrison LF(Might be pushing it) 6.John Baker C 7.Cody Ross RF 8.Bonifacio 2B 9. Pitcher
  15. Seriously---they honored reserve players on a blanket alumni weekend. Kinda silly.
  16. Speed Thrills, but earns an error, such BS. GJ, rally Fellas.
  17. BS---I missed half of one of the most important games of the year. Atleast I saw Bonifacio's Bunt Hit
  18. There are a lot of former Phillies in town due to Harry Kalas being enshrined in Ashburn Alley this weekend That's the reason. They are having a HK week end and former players are being introduced before the games. Friday night it was mentioned Tommy would be in a Phillies jersey Saturday night for the festivities (before someone reads too much into that). Isn't Tony Perez a Former Red, having only played for the Phillies 1 year in 1983 (which would be like us bringing back Mike Mordicai for an Alumni Day. Pérez was a reserve player on the 1983 National League Champion Phillies.
  19. Two things, word play isn't cool. Neither is Alex Rios' 60 Million due to him over the next 3 years. Through Deductive Reasoning Buster Olney has signaled out the White Sox as the claiming team. Basically stating they wanted him before, they aren't afraid of payroll (peavy) and Dye is a possible FA this year. Dye and Rio's would be salary washes next year, and Dye can be a super sub, playing 6 days a weeek at different positions to give Thome, Dye, Quienton, Posednick, and Konerko time off. Not to mention he's 28 years old and only looks to play better in a new park/home. White Sox like his upside. Chris
  20. I have three 2003 World Series Replica Rings that were a stadium giveaway in 2004 vs. the Phillies. Apparently these were the ones that people fought and went to jail for. They are the first ones, not the second ones given away to please fans later that year who missed out. Two have the Micosukee Resort and Gaming Bag, one is without the bag. PM me your offers if your interested. I would like to see 2 go to a good home, and the 3rd only if the price is right. Same Ring as this auction http://cgi.ebay.com/FLORIDA-MARLINS-2003-WORLD-SERIES-REPLICA-RING_W0QQitemZ370240799398QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090806?IMSfp=TL090806194003r39223
  21. Tony Perez is on the Marlins bench tonight in Philadelphia. I don't remember seeing this before. Anyone know why he's there, or what can be brewing. Last time I saw him on a bench it was 2001 or 2002 I believe, and he was the Interm Manager. Freddy on the chopping block? Presley on the chopping block (god i hope so)? Discuss!
  22. If maybin stays down until Sept 1st, can he still play in the post season?
  23. http://shop.ebay.com/kmmdcards/m.html?_nkw=marlins&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3911.m270.l1313&_odkw=&_osacat=0 CHeck that listing out. Look for 2009 Topps or 2009 UD Series 1 and 2. You should get the entire team that way. Only other product could be 2009 O-Pee-Chee.
  24. Junior Felix Moises Alou Mark Kotsay Kotsay is a CF I think, the other two were LF's I believe. Alou for sure was a LF.
