  1. Glad we got some value from Volstad. I don't see us realistically going after another starting pitcher, unless we can ship Nolasco out and get Oswalt, but I don't think the front office is really looking to do so. Right now, we're probably waiting for Cespedes.
  2. Opening Night just got that more interesting. Is Pujols off of the table with Buehrle's signing?
  3. Still like to see some confirmation, but that looks pretty legit. Samson is about to go on 790 The Ticket Any way I can listen to it online??
  4. mehh I'd consider leaving Gaby at 1st than spending big $$ on Fielder if Pujols doesn't sign. On to Wilson and Buerhle Sign Fielder trade Gaby for SP? Ever since we got into signing Pujols.. I'm spoiled. I want a big time hitter. Which pitcher is on the market? Gio Gonzalez? or maybe a sign and trade?
  5. Sooo if we get Wilson are we done with Pooholes?
  6. mehh I'd consider leaving Gaby at 1st than spending big $$ on Fielder if Pujols doesn't sign. On to Wilson and Buerhle
  7. Hanley Ramirez is like that little kid that gets a $100 toy for Christmas, doesn't like the toy, and proceeds to ruin everyone's Christmas.
  8. Would have to hope the Fish just continue to splurge and give javy whatever he wants on a 1 year deal. Adding Buehrle + Javy - Hensley/Volstad would give us 1 nasty team for around $110-$115MM. We need Vazquez, would help a lot with starting pitching and could just go after Buerhle rather than Wilson.
  9. Any SP we can trade Gaby for? I know he doesn't take up much payroll but if we DO get Pooholes, we need another starting pitcher. A package of Gaby and Hensley/Volstad I could deal with.
  10. Are we sure there is something after this?.....
  11. I doubt this is a baseball-related move. .249 or whatever is not a good average, but considering the state of the Marlins right now, we should be leaving Morrison, hailed as part of the new core, up at the MLB level to just use the rest of the season as practice to fine-tune his skills. Any other player would stay, especially with 17 or so home runs. Seems to me like they are trying to make an attitude adjustment which is fine by me. Morrison needs to be brought down to earth a little, the little charity organization thing seems to be the straw that broke the camel's back.
  12. As far as I'm concerned, Mike Stanton is already the face of this franchise. This ^^^^ Speaking to children at a baseball camp I attended, they all knew who Mike Stanton was, his swing, everything... they treated him like a chuck norris-like legend. Hanley being traded would screw up any of the casual fans we have though, so I do not see it happening, unless we trade him for a superstar type player and bring another in for 2012. I'd much rather trade Morrison, whose big mouth stirs up too much IMO.
  13. There's an international draft?
  14. So who are the big name free agents after this season? Who is not untouchable and can be traded for a decent return to help this club? Pujols
  15. And yet Hanley was still getting on bases by drawing walks. Is it really a coincidence that we've won only 1 game since Hanley has been shelved? Pitchers knew he was struggling but still respected his bat and it gave guys like Logan and Gaby more protection. Imo, that's the biggest reason why we're not swinging the bat as good lately. Hanley's absence creates a hole in the lineup but also affects the hitters around him, who were protected by him and also had confidence in him, even if he was in a slump.
  16. Was at the game, surprised to see so many Brewers fans. Such a crushing feeling when Morgan hit that, the whole stadium remembered what happened last year. Where were you sitting? right field next to the foul pole, was with my family and little brother didn't get to scream anything :/ Monday, however, I will be with some friends near home plate

  18. Hanley simply because of the constant day to day injuries that I think are more of an excuse than anything
  19. gaby trying too hard a little there. great outing by javy, they got some gloves on hard hit balls today though
  20. Cousins did what he had to do to be safe, it was the only way he could have scored. I think any other player who cares as much about winning would have done the same
  21. All good things must come to an end... unfortunately it had to be tonight
  22. sign of the rapture?
  23. Did you get an autograph, or ask him to spot you? Where was this, just curious. Nah, I didn't wanna be intrusive or anything. It was in Weston by the way, near Sawgrass.
