Herges strikes again

Featured Replies

it's not about winning

it's about getting better.

at least that is the line the organization uses so might as well as get use out of a vet you are paying seems to be the line of thinking.

I don't think he has ever had a good outing. He is terrible.

he picthed one scoreless against the nats in the 4-3 win.

and he does have 5 holds this year so he had to have at least a few successful outings.

Like I said in the game thread.. Why the f*** do they send Vargas down because of control issues and do not do anything about Herges! This bastard needs to be sent down or hopefully CUT!!

ur crap always makes me crack the f*** up, idk why but its so honest lmao

Great the two veterans that we got, and they cant even pitch( Brian Moehler, and Matt Herges)!! Cut them loose

and great that Girardi leaves him in too.

Herges really blew the game today, but these big innings have got to stop.

Girardi's got to do something to stop the bleeding.

To be honest he has no other options and just has to cross his fingers that these guys have a good outing. Unless the FO trades for something this is apprarently the hand Jo-Jo has been dealt. The propects in the lower ranks are just more of the same.

Truthfully I am very disappointed in Matt. I thought he'd still be able to pitch, but apprarently he can't.

Well, might as well get used to it. For whatever reason, Herges is Girardi's go-to-guy. I, along with everyone else, do not understand why Girardi wants the ball in Herges hand in any and all situations. Even though you, me, and anyone with a functioning brain knows that Herges is as useful as an arthritic donkey, Girardi refuses to accept this fact.

yea.....but he also has 4 BS

To be honest, I am not worried. Why? Becuase its obvious that desptie Herges being overrused right now, he has played himself out of any chance he had to be with this team for a long period of time. He will be gone eventually.

True, but for how long can you be patient? He is costing us games. I know we are rebuilding but any win helps the team morale. Instead Girardi is setting an example that losing is acceptable. I am worried because he is not just hurting himself, but, his team as well. He is poisin to the team everytime he gets on the mound.
