August 4, 200620 yr They showed us on BBTN, Buster Olney has our back. btw I like how weve only gained 1 game on the Mets since we were 11-31 Yeah we just reclaim the #1 spot best winning team since May 22 when we won the series against the Mets. It just so happen it was the Mets that are the second best NL team since May 22 right now after we beat them yestoday. Another reason added to the long list of why we needed to win that last game in the series.
August 4, 200620 yr I love the fact that noone is really talking bout the Fish, because it will be so much better to just sneak up under the radar. Anyways I'm going to be there Friday night to cheer on the Fish and all of you guys need to be there this weekend as well to support this team, I dont think it was a conicidence that one of their best played series of the year came with some of the biggest crowds of the year.

August 4, 200620 yr The Reds are falling apart. According to Junior, the deadline trade that Reds trade is not looking good and has made them a worser team. Houston is now our new threat, they got Clemans late so it'll be hard to catch up them and their 3 top pitchers again. And of course we still have to worry about the other 7 teams including the Reds. :plain

The Dodgers have won 6 in a row. The Reds are falling apart because now they are lacking in what they used to thrive, offence and when you get rid of felipe and kearns, it shows much more. Their pen is good but when you pitch in Great American Ball Park "to hit Home Runs in," it really doesn't matter.

There is going to be 1 or 2 teams that will get away but the Marlins will gladly take the Washington sandwiched to be right there. Yes, the Wild Card talk is not a pipe dream anymoe, but we are just barely there. We must win today game if we want to continue talking about this. :hat

Totally agreed. The team and management should be very proud of themselves and so should all the great fans on this board who care so much about the team. From 11-31 to even sniffing the WC chase is music to my ears. Were gonna need a few meltdown runs by the DBacks and Giants etc etc though because the swelter of September is on the horizon. Any young ambitious go-geters out there know how our strength of schedule matches up compared to other teams in the hunt?

August 4, 200620 yr This annoyed me when they did it to the Phils, and now they're doing it to the Marlins, just thought you'd like to know. Sportscenter left out the phillies when they were 4.5 back in the WC a few days ago despite other teams being listed in the same place. They're now doing it to the Marlins, the Stro's are the only team they list as 4 back in the WC on their table. Unless you are the Yankees, Red Sox, Cardinals or Mets, SC doesn't care if they get to your highlights or not. It seems like no matter if a team won 40 games in a row, SC would still be talking about those three teams. 4 games back is absoloutly unbelievable. Who on earth would've thought this is what this year would turn out like? Keep up the great play and keep winning, Fish! We can do this.

August 4, 200620 yr The Marlins are 4G back, BBTN didn't have them on the Wild Card chart but managed to include Houston.
