GREGG is f***ING BAD and Fredi is GODDAMN STUPID for letting him pitch in the 9th... I swear if he gives Gregg another chance to close............

IDK about you guys, but as soon as the Marlins come back, if Gregg is still our closer I will take a sign to the Ballpark spelling "Gregg SUCKS!" he deserves to go through as much pain as we're going through everyday when we see his stupid ass come to pitch every night

Doug should have pitched the 9th. I hope Gregg gets demoted soon, whether or not we have a qualified replacement to do it. Hopefully, we will know if the FO is gonna try to make some deals by deadline or if Loria is gonna stay cheap and say "Screw you,team and fans, we are standing pat!"... This team needs some more shaking up...

I missed Waechter getting the last out in the eighth and was amazed he didn't pitch the ninth.

 

I'm just sickened to think about the implications this has for the second half of the season.

At this point it's time to end the mystique that gets attributed to this average reliever. No more "Superman" references. None of this "Clark Kent" crap. From now on, he's just Kevin Gregg, a member of our bullpen.

I thought the decision to stick with Doug in the 9th was the most obvious in the world. I understand having to deal with fragile egos, etc.....but eventually, winning the game should trump those kinds of things. Just pathetic.

My dad asked if I wanted to watch mlb.tv with his account tonight. And I said No because I know if I sit and watch this game Gregg will only come in and lose it so what is the point.

GUYS WE ARE A GOOD TEAM.....right now its our bullpen that is killing us.....gregg needs to be put into a relief role and i would make doug the closer.....changes must be made before it is too late. were 3.5 out and this season is not ove rbut obviously things need to change dramatically.

Like I said you may as well put the pitching machine on the mound. At least it throws strikes.

It wasn't obvious to Fredi when he left Olsen in to try ana win in the 5th when he had nothing. And also, in a game where everything was flying out of the yard, good time to bring Tank back in, I just knew he was gonna give up a homer... 17 runs should win games but it is obvious that even with a shaky start from Olsen the bukllpen still should not have f***ed it up... Either the FO stands pat and the bullpen continues to kill ballgames or some moves get done while we still have enough season left to turn it around. The Phillies are not that far ahead that this team cannot regroup and come back.

I'm not a big fan of straight bashing a player. So I'll ask this: What do we do about our closer situation (since I feel a majority have gotten tired of losing years of their life from stressing over 9th inning save situations)? Closer by committee or if not, who is the new guy we should pitch in the 9th? I prefer Pinto, but I'm sure everyone has other ideas.

I think they should try Waechter and/or Nelson. Either one of those two WILL pitch better at this point than Gopher Gregg.

I say give it to Nelson. he had sick stats before his last couple of games. And he definately has good stuff, plus he closed in AAA. Nelson for closer!!!
