September 15, 200817 yr Congrats to Zambrano, crazy to see all the Houston crowd rooting for him. Again, congrats to Carlos, hope we can get another da fish can get another one soon :thumbup against all odds its against the astros, the hottest team in baseball
September 15, 200817 yr The game is actually in Milwaukee, making it closer to Chicago. That's why there are so many Cubs fans. Either way, great accomplishment!
September 15, 200817 yr Not sure if you were kidding, but those are not Astro fans, they're Cub fans. The game was moved to Milwaukee due to Hurricane Ike...so a bunch of Cubs fans made the trip, but technically it's a home game for the 'Stros.
September 15, 200817 yr Author oh i watched it, there were predominently Cubs fans, but it was TECHNICALLY a home game for the Astros
September 15, 200817 yr Enjoy the jubilation while it lasts, Cubs fans...because come October, you'll be crying like you do every year...I'm thinking first round sweep.
September 15, 200817 yr Doesn't matter who's the "home" team. If they are playing closer to their home city, more fans will show up. When the Marlins play the Mets here in Florida, the Marlins are TECHNICALLY the home team, but it does not feel like a home game for the FISH.
September 15, 200817 yr 1. It's complete BS that this game was moved to Milwaukee. 2. The Astros actually gained .5 game in the wildcard standings on the same day they got no-hit. Has that ever happened before? 3. Congratulations, Carlos Zambrano. :confused
September 15, 200817 yr lol nice by carl and good to see the cubs cool of the stors hopefuly they cool down before they come down here
September 15, 200817 yr ZAMBRANO i never met him but i thorw My 2 seamer like Him Up and in then just breaks right back over Congrats to him and thanks for making the Astros offense cold for us Hopefully they dont mess us up
September 15, 200817 yr Don't like the man at all, but a hell of an outing against a team that was very hot.
September 15, 200817 yr My God, those Astros announcers were trying to jinx it like constantly after the 6th inning it seemed. "Still a no-hitter... almost the first hit.." etc.. Grats to Zambrano though
September 15, 200817 yr Gotta love seeing your team (or second team) no-hit in a "home game" where the crowd is behind the away team. Bah.
September 15, 200817 yr you're all just a bunch of jealous kids great accomplishment for one of the elite pitchers in the league. Those Cubbies are having a great season
September 15, 200817 yr How many no hitters has there been this year and who got them? I cant remember
September 15, 200817 yr you're all just a bunch of jealous kids great accomplishment for one of the elite pitchers in the league. Those Cubbies are having a great season Until the post season starts! Well done by Zambrano
September 15, 200817 yr Enjoy the jubilation while it lasts, Cubs fans...because come October, you'll be crying like you do every year...I'm thinking first round sweep. I say Rays over Cubs in 6 in the World Series. :mischief
September 15, 200817 yr How many no hitters has there been this year and who got them? I cant remember Two: Jon Lester and Carlos Zambrano. Last year there were three: Mark Buehrle, Justin Verlander and Clay Buchholz.
September 15, 200817 yr The center of Milwaukee and the center of Chicago are only 90 miles apart. And the Cubs have a ton of fans in the northern suburbs, as well as southern Wisconsin and even Milwakee, so it was a bunch of Cub fans there. For a lot of Cub fans, driving to Milwaukee is the eqivlent of driving from Miami to Palm Beach, so it's not all that far, especially considering it's a rare chance for a lot of them to see the Cubs in person since Wrigley is sold out everyday. Back on topic, even as a Sox fan and Cub hater, I don't mind Zambrano and issue congrats to him on his no hitter.
September 15, 200817 yr you're all just a bunch of jealous kids great accomplishment for one of the elite pitchers in the league. Those Cubbies are having a great season Well, I have the right. The Astros are my 2nd team (and my original team), so I'm supposed to be angry about being no hit.
September 15, 200817 yr Enjoy the jubilation while it lasts, Cubs fans...because come October, you'll be crying like you do every year...I'm thinking first round sweep. I say Rays over Cubs in 6 in the World Series. :mischief Hm, what year is that going to be, since the Angels are going to be in the WS this year?
