June 24, 200917 yr Despite Cantu winning the game, I'm giving it to Hanley for the game he had at the plate. Other notes: Miller pitched one hell of a game. I would've loved to see him go longer, but Fredi made the right move by pinch hitting Gload for him. It ended up working out in the end. Since coming back from his injury, Miller has been a much better pitcher. Dan Uggla made some really nice defensive plays tonight, especially that last diving play he made. Makes you forget last year's all star game. Can we teach Hermida to play 3B so we can have Carroll's glove out there every night? Lindstrom probably shouldn't close anymore....

June 24, 200917 yr give it to Miller who was terrific. Unfortunate that it had to go extras because we had so many good performances today. Uggla great on offense AND defense, Hanley huge at the plate, Caroll, Gload, Cogs, Badenhop hanging on for the pen. But Andrew was great. Like I said in the game thread, you can just see his confidence growing. Back to .500 !

I've been defending him for a while, but today is probably the last day he should be closing. We need to acquire another closer, and move Lindstrom down the bullpen.
June 24, 200917 yr -Fantastic job by Andrew Miller tonight. He really deserved to win this game. -I don't think I trust Matt Lindstrom to hold ANY lead at this point. -Nice job by Uggla's and BC's defensive work tonight, though! And, Cantu is the man. Nice clutch hitting.

According to the ads Roseta Stone As for the game Miller did a great job, I hope to see more of this in his immediate future, Lindstrom may be better suited for the set up role, any closers out there? Some good defense tonight, shame they couldn't push across some of those runners earlier in the game. Hey a win streak is a win streak.
June 24, 200917 yr I think it may be time to send Lindstrom down. I don't know what else they can do. Does anyone think he could close a one run game? I just don't see it anymore. I don't know if it's the catcher calling the pitches but whatever the case may be I have no confidence in him closing a one run "playoff" atmosphere game.

June 24, 200917 yr wow, i just saw the recap on ESPN and i didn't realize that the catcher dropped the ball on the play at the plate. there would have been hell on the boards if bonifacio would have been called out.
