Marlins defeat the Diamondbacks 14-7.

Miller: 2.2 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 0 SO

2B: Coghlan (10), Baker (13), Helms (4)

3B: Bonifacio (5), Gonzalez (1)

HR: Carroll (3), Cantu (10), Hermida (9)

not taking anything away from Carroll, but Fredi made the right moves late in the game

What a game- incredible comeback!

BC is the man!

Will probably go down as the game of the year.

What an amazing comeback. And plus we stay 2 back from the Phillies. We have a tough game tomorrow with Haren, but I have a feeling we can pull it off.

Glad I didn't turn the TV off. Hopefully Hopper is ok, though.

come'on,

wheres the shaving cream pie? lol

I thought hermida was going to get him back...

I'm going with this guy:

I bet you were just Johnny on the spot waiting to post the PGT consisting of the word losers, weren't you?

Fredi's decisions were very good today.

Any word on Badenhop?

I wonder how many people would have trashed Fredi for pinch hitting Carroll if he got out.

Badenhop - The injury was called a left knee contusion. X-rays came back negative, and he is listed as day-to-day.

Glad I didn't turn the TV off. Hopefully Hopper is ok, though.

Did Miller get bailed out or what

Just checked the score, :lol

just getting back in - was sitting next to a guy in a dolphins jersey, so that was pretty cool ...... a lot of depressed d'back fans after this one

just an all around crazy game from the marlins giving up 4 unearned runs, badenhop taking that comebacker, loading up the bases with none out to get no runs and then the big burst in the 8th

where the d'backs had a couple opportunities to get out of the inning, to boyer somehow giving up ground ball single after ground ball single ......... then in the 8th dan meyer comes in and wants to start throwing balls and the d'backs load them up with no one out to come up empty

just a crazy game

will make going to tommorrow nights game a bit easier that's for sure ....... need a steady performance from nolasco as haren is always tough

BTW, let's not forget the 4 hit night from Dan Uggla, Cantu finally hitting a HR, Bonifacio still getting on base, Hermida hit the ball well and so is Baker.

Real glad we won. The first half of the game was just absolutely soul crushing, and if it ended like that...wow, what a difference this makes for tomorrow.

Yeah, Freddie was the fish of the game here. Good call on BC, good call on bringing Hanley into the game, good call on letting Meyer clean up his own mess, etc etc. You can, of course, replace "good" with "lucky", but hey, everything in this game has a little bit of luck to it.

Very nice come from behind win. Miller was off, but in the end, we battled back and won. Also very nice to see Hanley back, even if he didn't start.

he also did a good job with managing the pitchers throughout the game, from the quick hook to miller, to recovering after badenhop got hurt and even had some fortune getting an extra inning out of sanches ...... he was set to PH gonzalez if the spot came up, however they went down in order and the pitchers spot never came around

so now sanches goes out and pitches well in the 6th, his spot is the leadoff in the 7th and gonzalez gets a pinch hit opportunity at that point and scores

And the less-than-useless Bo Porter breathes a sigh of relief that this wasn't a one-run loss after not sending Coghlan when the LF was making NO attempt at a play at the plate. Idiot.

Calero back. Ramirez back. Both Gonzales and Boni triple. On top of Cantu and Hermida, Carroll shows more of the power he's been hinting at, as a PH, no less. Record runs in an inning, tons of hits, 14 unanswered runs; the opposite of the July 4 Rockies disaster game, all's right with the world for at least 24 hours.

Amazing Game. I loved it!!! Fredi Gonzlez for FOTG!!!

wow i had to go out and we were down 7-0 and when i got home i was almost certain we had lost. what a great surprise and a great comeback.

I'm loving Brett Carroll... as I might have been the only one around here asking for him to get a chance early in the season when Maybin was stinkin' up the place.

Great win for the team but I am starting to lose hope in Andrew Miller. Seriously. :confused

Yes, because one bad start means he sucks. It amazes me how you give up on young players so fast.
