Marlins Win! 5-3!

Cantu makes history, he is on fire this month. I hope he keeps this up past April.

It's great to avoid the sweep. Something I want to continue all year long. NO GETTING SWEPT IN 2010!

ugh, hard decision between cantu and volstad. the only blemish against volstad was that two run dinger from janish. i voted for cantu just for making history and giving the marlins a comfortable lead down the stretch.

We have 1 more game tomorrow against the Reds tomorrow, don't we?

I really liked Bake in the 2 spot, he's really clutch.

Also it was great to see BC go 3-4 with a Triple away from the cycle. If Maybin struggles or Cogs keeps struggling, it's good to know we've got a solid backup plan.

Comeback Carroll is on fire. I like his attitude.

Even though, Maybin hit GIDP at last at-bat, he did a good job as a leadoff.

Big start from Volstad, I choose him.

Yes we do. Hopefully we can split the series.

BC is my FOTG in his first game back. I wonder who starts in LF tomorrow...?

How about this batting order, #1 Maybin - #2 Coghlan or Baker ?

the unfortunate sophomore slump :\

cmon CC! Get yer head out of yer ass!

Wow including last season, Cantu has a hit and RBI in 13 consecutive games.

Volstad was awesome just left him in a little to long.

I hope we don't hear from BC haters for awhile now...I always said BC was a must as a 4th Outfielder

Can we now say finally that Volstad is back? I am convinced even though it's early, he is just looking poised out on the mound

Yeah it looks like StClare did his job and fixed him.

Let's be patient; after all, he did walk 4 batters.

I wouldnt be to concerned about the walks. the ump was just not giving anything, and i mean he wasnt calling strikes, strikes. Atleast the ump was consistent on both sides though.

I gave it to Volstad. Despite the walks and the dinger, he looked pretty good. Let's hope he keeps it up. Congrats to Cantu! Keep adding to the record tonight, hombre!

I went for Volstad for his well pitched game. Also not mentioned in this thread so far was Hanley's defense - it was top notch last night.

Now it's up to JJ to split the series and go into Philly with a nice 6-4 record.

I finally saw the plays he made on Baseball Tonight. It really was top notch.

Good Job Volstad... Nice win Marlins... And from the looks and sounds on the Reds Broadcast. The crowd was awesome. I gotta say the Marlins have the best fans in the Biz... We may only get 10-15K at SunLife or what ever name of the year for Joe Robbie, but the crowd is always into it... Wish I could fly down to see them more than once twice a year!

Yeah, he had a ton of putouts: some easy, a few tough, and a couple of spectacular ones.

I wonder whether Carroll gets another start tonight and Cogs another day of rest and reflection.

I also wonder if BC does play if he and Cody will flip-flop positions, he arm being so much more an asset in right than left.

I imagine that, barring injury, he stays on the roster for the foreseeable future as our 4th OF; so, he'll get some spot starts, at least, in relief of all 3 guys. When Cody sits, he obviously goes to right. When Maybin sits, Cody slides to CF and BC goes to right. As you said, I'm also curious what they will do when CC sits, as I agree that I'd rather see his arm in RF.

That throw last night was perfect, but Baker just lost the ball (or at least it looked that way live).
