I was nervous about our offense when we replaced Dan Uggla with Omar Infante. But I am eager to see the Lomo, Stanton, Coghlan youth movement in full swing

Okay I guess I deserve it.......but dudes I am just anxious, especially after listening to ESPN slobber all over Uggla, Freddie Gonzalez and the Braves this afternoon. I thought Hershheiser was planning on having Freddie Freeman's baby after listening to him. It was disgusting listen to them pump up the Braves and just basically, dismiss the Marlins as an afterthought. I mean it sounded as though they expect us to lose 100 games this year, and even the Nationals to trounce us.

Our regulars have all played together 1 game. And that was for like, 3 innings.

Calm down.

I guess so, but most of what I hear from these "experts" is getting me nervous and then we haven't been hitting well yet. Stanton missing time sucks too.

I think it's pretty cool Atlanta is costing themselves two wins this season on defense by playing Uggla at 2B and Prado in LF, but that's just me.

Yeah, too bad we're doing the same thing, putting Coghlan in CF. :mad

ESPN analysts aren't experts, they're talking heads. Big difference.

Also, it's not as if the "ESPN experts" said anything bad about us. Unless I missed it (didn't watch the whole game), Bobby Valentine called the Marlins a "good team" around the 7th inning, when they were talking about the N.L. East.

True he did say that, but was really dismissive of them later in the inning when he said its really only a two team race.

Freeman has to have one of the ugliest pictures when he comes up to bat. He looks so funny.

If anything, I'd be more worried about the starting pitching. That seems to be the biggest problem over the last couple of games.

Of course, spring is a bad indicator anyway.

Yeah, I work nights, and it sucks to wake up at noon (Central) and find the starting pitching are the ones giving up 4 runs in their limited work. But yeah, it is Spring (And EARLY Spring at that), so me and everyone just need to step back and take a deep breath.

Cant really say anything more that hasnt already been said. Pitching seems to be the weakest point at the moment, from our starters anyway. I will be more worried around the last week of March if we are still having the same results.

How dare you comment while not wearing your rose colored glasses!

Hurricane man, here was today's starting lineup.

1. Emilio Bonifacio, cf;

2. Ozzie Martinez, ss;

3. Scott Cousins, rf;

4. Logan Morrison, dh;

5. Joe Thurston, 2b;

6. Matt Dominguez, 3b;

7. Bryan Petersen, lf;

8. Josh Kroeger, 1b;

9. Brad Davis,

In this group, there are probably two MLB starters, two-four bench players, and a couple journeymen finding their niche in the minors.

The offense will be predicated on the success of guys like Buck, Ramirez, Stanton, and Coghlan. Spring Training is a time to enjoy the sun, get ourselves ready for the season, and to concern ourselves with guys like Dominguez, Martinez, Peterson, Wise, etc..., since those are the guys fighting for a roster spot.

The offense for next season will get little playing time this month.

Btw, our bullpen = best in baseball!

Aside from an Edward Mujica solo HR allowed, everyone else has a 0 ERA. One Spring Training appearance for the win!
