Sirspud
I went with Ricky. Tonight shows why Ricky is just a winner. I don't know why he always seem to come out on top in these situations when JJ seems to suffer terrible luck, but there is something that can't be defined in Ricky. Honorable mention to Brett Hayes. He had some nice swings tonight and ending the game on a pitchout CS was pretty sweet.

Bret Hart
I hate 1-run game. I think Nunez can't be the closer, any longer. And I hope Hanley will be safe.
enterthemadness
Hayes. Had two doubles in the start at catcher...and...threw out the runner at 2nd to end the game.
dom2613
Cogs with a huge homer and Ricky pitched a gem despite hardly any ks. Hanley has a career in acting or soccer after baseball. A bad bruise and he acts like he got shot. Grow a pair. Oh yeah our catching combo looks pretty good with the bat.
Iowa
Nolasco. We needed a strong pitching performance tonight and him to go deep in the game. Hayes in a close 2nd.
GoFishGoMs628
Nolasco has had a great start to the year and another fabulous pitching performance. The Fish have come up with some timely hits and (14 in all) Leo is getting better slowly but surely if Buck/Hayes have to go to the mound 25 times in the 9th to remind him what to throw I am all for it. Thanks God Hanley's injury is only day to day that being said I thought he made it look much worse. Overall very entertaining, Hayes stepped up big. Hammerhead
Hayes. Two huge hits, great game calling and a game clinching throw that bailed Leo out. All of you guys are praising Ricky and while yes, he was good, remember that a catcher has to get some of the credit too. And Hayes is a backup that has only caught Ricky a handful of times. mystikol87
Ricky, also because he had a key base hit!
CyggyMarlin
Went with Hayes... Great game for him and overall great production so far from our catching squad

I'm surprised at Ricky pitching more to contact this year, and K'ing less hitters. I don't know if his success will hold up, doing that. With that said, I think he's the Fish of the Game; he went 8 innings on a night when half the bullpen was unavailable.
gizmo
We needed 7 from Ricky and he gave us 8 and a base hit. Earn that contract!
Iowa
Hayes really did have some good looking swings. I know its his first start of the season.. but if he really settles in as the backup.. what happens with Baker when he's healthy?

Batters except for pence in tonights game are learning to lay off his many out of the strike zone sliders. We won because the defense played good. Great pitchout call by the coaches to end the game. Iowa
That pitchout call definitely made up for the suicide squeeze call
floridafly
Didn't watch the game, but Ricky giving the BP some rest is huge! Especially with the late night/heavy usage last night and no off day until Monday. So did Coghlan have any more web gems? :lol
Admin
No, but Morrison tried to known down the Crawford Boxes.
