4/29 Post Game

Marlins hang on to take the first game of the series, 7-6

W: Vazquez (2-2)

L: Wood (1-3)

S: Nunez (8)

2B: O Infante (5); H Ramirez (5); E Bonifacio (4)

3B: E Bonifacio (1)

HR: J Buck (2)

Marlins do just enough to win this one, Reds are known for comebacks, Leo faltered a little bit didn't have his best stuff but he had enough stuff against Bruce.

Would like to see the Marlins do better at adding on runs, this is two games now where we have let the opposing team crawl back.

Hanley had 2 hits and his normal bat flip strike out, getting better but not there yet.

A win is a win is a win.

It was not fun to see Nunez get into trouble, but it was nice to see him get out of it. This is a good sign for me, last year this would have been a loss.

Started off really great, Vaz with probably his best start so far. The game got too close for comfort and it shouldn't have come down to 1 run, but hey we won!!

no complaints. id rather see leo give up a few like this than when we go into the inning up by one. he's been money this year

To be fair, Bonifacio totally complicated the 9th inning. Unless I saw it wrong, it really seemed like he took a bad route to the ball.

Either way, a win is a win, and Leo Nunez is still irreplaceable...

Yeah, Boni couldn't have played that worse if his name was Jerry Sands, but that happens.

The bigger problem was Leo having the worst outing of the season so far; he just didn't have his stuff.

But we got it, all good.

Voted for Leo (other) for making the game entertaining.

Does anyone think Buck does a bad job of framing pitches?

did anyone else notice leo's fastball was in the low 90's? I thought his 4-seam was 96-98 most outings?

IT was.....low 90's was his change up.

well besides almost blowing a 6 run lead this was a good win.

javier pitched well except for that 3 run home run. he is getting better but he needs to get deeper and stop giving up runs in the first inning.

i will say this. that game was definitely one that i feel leo would have blown last year and the year before.

Did you predict that Leo would allow 2 in the 9th and then K Bruce to end the game tonight?

As long as we always have twice the amount of wins as we do losses, we should be fine.
