October 6, 201115 yr Wow, I don't really care too much about celebrity passings, but even I realized the Edison like mark he left on this world. RIP
October 6, 201115 yr Well now there are fewer Jobs in this country. DAMN YOU OBAMA!! (sorry Facebook friends)
October 6, 201115 yr Wow, RIP. Was definitely not expecting that. Steve Jobs, you changed the world forever.
October 6, 201115 yr Very sad. I know his health has been deterioting for quite some time but very surprising still. RIP
October 6, 201115 yr Wow, RIP. Was definitely not expecting that. Steve Jobs, you changed the world forever. He had pancreatic cancer (the worst kind to have) for years.
October 6, 201115 yr With the Passing of another great mind, and the perception of the latest gadget as a dud - the brain drain at Apple is undeniable. Do you believe that the innovation the company is famous for is in jeopardy? Why or why not? If it is in jeopardy, do you see the effect snowballing in the immediate future? Finally, if you do see Apple's future as a cup half empty - can your "faith" in, expectations, or attitude about the company future be changed by the release of another ahead-of-its-time gadget? Rest in peace, Steve. (side note, I sent HotCorner a pm asking these two topics be merged, as his was posted while i edited mine.)
October 6, 201115 yr Man was a visionary. A little skeptical of his company's supply chain management.. but was a genius nonetheless. RIP
October 6, 201115 yr Wow, RIP. Was definitely not expecting that. Steve Jobs, you changed the world forever. He had pancreatic cancer (the worst kind to have) for years. Do you really have to come in with a smart ass comment like that? Yeah, of course, the guy had pancreatic cancer. But it's not like you woke up today and said 'I think Steve Jobs is going to die today' now is it?

October 6, 201115 yr R.I.P. Mr. Jobs. He'll be teaching God how to program His iMac. And other things.
October 6, 201115 yr The tech nerd rejection of the iPhone 4s killed Steve Jobs. An apple a day does not keep the doctor away. I always found him kind of fruity, anyway.

I don't wake up thinking anyone is going to die but I'm not going to be surprised of someone with a deathly illness dies.
October 6, 201115 yr All I'm saying is the dude stepped down as Apple CEO about two weeks ago, give or take a few days. In terms of the public eye, he deteriorated pretty quickly for that to happen.
October 6, 201115 yr As far as the poll goes, no I think Apple will be fine this time around. Sure, they were a mess last time they were without Steve but I think they are in such a good place now that it'll be fine. His innovation will be missed greatly though amongst everyone no doubt about that.
October 6, 201115 yr I thought originally he had pancreatic cancer (6 or 7 years ago) but the doctors removed as it was a rare kind that was curable through surgery, no? I wasn't sure if this was what caused him to step down a few weeks ago. I just knew he had cancer and was sick. If any one saw the photos after he stepped down he did not look well. Anyway he was visionary and changed the world. I loved his commencement at Stanford.
October 7, 201115 yr I think it's very much a "first world problem" that the consumer reaction to the 4S is negative. Most people I talk to say their opinion would do a 180 if the number associated with the device was a 5
October 10, 201115 yr The cancer was a recurring thing for him, but his health was never really full on since then. Very sad news indeed, his black shirt, jeans and trainers will be missed in the business world. And i hope Apple keep going strong as i enjoy the Iphone and Mac i have very much.
