I would like michael choice, sonny gray, or Grant Green a natural middle infielder.

Yeah The A's toronto seems to be one of the op list in prospects compared to te others.

Cole, Peacock and Sonny Gray all pitchers I've seen in top 50 & 100 lists. I would assume Parker's not in the picture.

Beinfest didn't say it, so it's not true. the fact is the majority of what we hear is speculation. for all we know it could be the head accountant(an exec) who said that, or someone with no power in this regard, but an exec nonetheless. We didn't hear any specifics about the Turner trade until it was official. So I would advise everyone to calm down, and just assume nothing is going to happen till it does happen.

Meh if we aren't going to get a nice piece for Hanley right now, I'd rather hold on to him. Don't trade him just to trade him.

i said it this morning my money is on Hanley getting dealt to Boston for Crawford. The front office apparently loves Crawford's clubhouse leadership. Also I see JJ getting dealt to Texas

Doesn't seem to be too much, but he's young, a starter ... probably a #5. Maybe this means Nolasco's next!

It was a salary dump. Eovaldi isn't a prospect to sneeze at, as he's the #2 prospect in the Dodgers system, but this was a salary dump.

 

I hope we see on The Franchise how at least some of this went down. Something had to happen behind the scenes to make the Marlins THIS willing to let go of Hanley, when at the beginning of the season Ozzie was touting him as the face of the franchise.
