Michael
So we traded a former all-star third baseman and a premier LOOGY [if they can even be "premier"] ... ... for a #5 starter basically and a minor league reliever with mediocre numbers. :|
Jokersgoon
#Marlins have trimmed $19.5MM from next year’s payroll in the past two days – Ramirez $15.5MM, Omar Infante $4MM.

Hotcorner
It was a salary dump. Eovaldi isn't a prospect to sneeze at, as he's the #2 prospect in the Dodgers system, but this was a salary dump. I hope we see on The Franchise how at least some of this went down. Something had to happen behind the scenes to make the Marlins THIS willing to let go of Hanley, when at the beginning of the season Ozzie was touting him as the face of the franchise. I sort of wonder if it wasn't Loria insisting on hanging on to Hanley against the advice of the baseball guys. But yeah.
yokofox33
really wtf, if we would have traded him in the off season we could have gotten Felix H. Quote of the year right here.
