Admin Beinfest: He's the next Emilio Bonifacio! we also get the number 33 pick in the draft. good trade. I'm just a little bitter because I've been championing trading Gaby for two years. Other than the Anibal/Infante trade, every trade the Marlins have made have been giving away players when their value is at its absolute lowest point. i wanted gaby gone in the offseason too. mujica got good value as well. but i agree. I don't really think we've lost any trades yet though even with them being low value, maybe this one, but the draft pick is good.

July 31, 201213 yr This guy an of? Bench? Starting? They think he's going to play next season? Can't look it up now someone plz fill me in. he's supposed to be an elite defender in the outfield, but can't hit much. And they get a first round pick, that's as big as anything here. I mean there wasn't really a spot left for Gaby, Slo-Mo was going to get the job for the near future unless he keeps sliding downward every season. I liked Gaby though, former UM guy and I think he'll find his swing eventually. Good luck to him. Gorkys did have a fair season at AAA last year. Value (if any) is probably all in the defense. I can't imagine they got him to start, unless it's just holding down the job for Yelich or something.

Other than Ruggiano our OF has got to be worse than some AAA teams. But when Stanton comes back, Ruggz in CF or LF, we'll only have one sh*t starter out there.

Probably the best way to look at the trade. Sanchez was a decent player, but he was mostly the guy standing in the way of LoMo taking 1B over full time and away from the awfulness he was in LF. We're gonna have to put Lee on waivers first....
