July 31, 201213 yr He's 2 for 25 this season. :| He'll fit right in. Are those two hits with RISP?! He has 2 RBI's on the season. 1 for 2 with RISP. And my bad, he's actually 2 for 24 on the season (not 2 for 25). BATTING .500 WITH RISP! BAT HIM 4TH, GOD DAMN IT! this is looking better every minute

July 31, 201213 yr guys he is not going to be the CF for 2013 most likely, or if he is I doubt he's their long-term solution. Relax.

July 31, 201213 yr And just like that, Gaby is gone for good...traded for some God-awful prospect no one has ever heard about.
July 31, 201213 yr Gorkys Hernandez can't muster a .700 OPS in the minors, and in the majors has 2 hits in 26 AB's. Admin Beinfest: He's the next Emilio Bonifacio!

July 31, 201213 yr Also, this is why I was so adamant that we should've traded Gaby after his great first half of the season last year (although I said to trade him at the end of the season). This isn't me in retrospect, I've wanted to trade Gaby for a while because I felt his value was bound to tank. Still, a first round compensation pick isn't terrible.
July 31, 201213 yr what good is it to get these draft picks or lose out and get the #1 draft pick..... if Beinfest/Hill cant draft for sh*t! JJ n Stanton the only good picks in how many years and picks?

Admin Beinfest: He's the next Emilio Bonifacio! we also get the number 33 pick in the draft. good trade. I'm just a little bitter because I've been championing trading Gaby for two years. Other than the Anibal/Infante trade, every trade the Marlins have made have been giving away players when their value is at its absolute lowest point.
July 31, 201213 yr Draft pick is the centerpiece. However, with marlins track record drafting first round.........
July 31, 201213 yr i like the fact that we are rebuilding our farm system. that is how you win. 3 top prospects in the last few weeks alone, plus a solid pitcher in eovaldi. keep them coming. hopefully nolasco is done here too
