Get rid of Nolasco ASAP

Featured Replies

I Don't care what he is owed next year. As long as he is pitching for the Marlins, the team will go nowhere.

I'd rather see ANY of our minor league guys than this POS.

This dude is one of the worst pitchers in baseball.

Yet his spot in rotation hasn't been questioned all season.

Enough of him. its been the same inconsistent awfulness his whole career. Trade him to any team willing to take on the last year of his salary.

So sick of his bs.

Last season he led the NL in most hits allowed (244).

If he gets tagged with the loss in the game right now then he'll have 7 losses in his last 8 starts.

Frankly, I'm really sick of watching him pitch. He had 1 good season in 2008 (15-8, 3.52 ERA) and since then he hasn't even been a 'serviceable' starter.

2009: 5.06 ERA

2010: 4.51 ERA

2011: 4.67 ERA

2012: 4.94 ERA (before tonight)

Nolasco's problem isn't a case of poor luck based on peripherals; it's a case of him sucking due to regression.

He's not even the same pitcher he was before. Before, he would at least have stretches of dominance and occasional season outliers. This year, he just sucks. He's become a "pitch to contact" guy more and more every year and he just sucks now.

I've gotta assume he changed his pitching style because he saw his stuff fading or something; otherwise, what an idiot to make that change and never try and get back to what he was/maybe could have been.

Well we did get rid of Hanley so that's where the money can go!!

Good signing everyone!

YA PERIPHERALS!

Look at Dr. Beinfest, jumping on the convenient I Hate Nolasco bandwagon.

The funny part about the winner joke is that it hasn't even been true for the past two years, and even then there's only been one season where it's actually noticeable.

And the best part is that his stuff has gotten worse every year. He used to be 91-94 on the fastball and had nasty strikeout stuff. Now he sits 89-90 and gives up the most hits in the league.

Then he walks back to the dugout with his f***ing annoying bulging chest and mohawk.

Gaudin isn't part of any long term plans, so go ahead and release him and move Nolasco to that spot in pen and go with a JJ, Buehrle, Turner, LeBlanc and Eovaldi rotation for the rest of the way. Sadly the Marlins are left with the prospect of eating the Nolasco contract or using him in the pen until it expires.

if he wasn't put on waivers, that is stupid - if we could not have scored a deal we could always have pulled him back
