AeroFishOne
Yeah I'm not to happy with it at the moment. It had promise but I don't like that you can't turn off the cartoony look. Passbook isn't working on much either. I thought it would let you scan things and out them in. Don't even get me started about YouTube. No YouTube app for iPad and I can't get any of my favorites to play. Keep getting an error. Now I can't watch any YouTube videos in safari because it says I need flash or quick time
TheU
Yikes, I updated my ipad yesterday, but I hadnt tried going on youtube... I hope this isnt the case for me! You would think that before a major launch like IOS6 or iPhone5, apple would make sure everything is working!

There's a YouTube app in the App Store for iPhone and there should be one soon for the iPad.

gizmo
I don't understand why people like the iphone so much. Its been the same sh*t since the first one. Grid of shortcuts. They haven't had any major hardware updates in a long time. Whenever they release a new phone its "new" features are basically apps that only the new phone is allowed to use, even though older ones can run it just fine. There are so many other phones out there that have way more features than an iphone, those phones are cheaper, dont break as easily, are free to use however you want, and you have options. They have been playing catch up for years now. For a company that makes ONE PHONE they sure do make a lot of dumb mistakes. Apples value as a company is almost completely tied to the iphone. Its going to be rough for apple if they ever start to lose their user base. Android 4 lyfe.
TheU
I have to agree. I was a HUGE Apple fanboi for a long time... Things happened and I had to get rid of my iPhone... When it came time to get a new smartphone, I ended up getting a windows based Samsung Focus. I really liked the phone, but the lack of an app market really spoiled the phone for me. I switched to an HTC Inspire droid phone and liked it a lot. Great phone experience. Live widgets ftw. Call me crazy, but if im dropping major coin for a phone, I wanna be able to delete apps I dont like, or arrange things however I like. Since then, I switched to a Samsung Galaxy Note, and this is even better. The GINORMOUS screen is amazing... Unless Apple gets "all their apples in a bunch," I dont find myself ever going back. They keep releasing subpar phones (comparing to what others are offering) and relying on the fanbois to keep buying. ONE day, people will wisen up, and apple will be screwed! yokofox33
I got the iPhone 5 today. It's only my 2nd smart phone. I've had the 3GS for over 2 years, so it was time to upgrade finally. I'm sure there are better phones, but I'm content with the thing so far.
mystikol87
Apple has other really nice toys and a lot of integration between them. That draws in a lot of people.

TheU
We aren't saying ha iPhones aren't good phones.. I just personally feel that apple believes that since people are going to buy their phones anyways they don't have to do as much. It sucks that apple Is just bringing things out on the iPhone that other phones have had for a while now. Again, this is just my personal opinion. Jonny Ramos
I just swapped my iPhone for a Samsung galaxy S3. This thing is amazing. I'm glad I got off the apple bandwagon.
Dr Beinfest
Have fun when the Samsung Galaxy S III's battery starts to fall to sh*t. Samsung's phone hardware has fallen to shits. I couldn't give a rats ass about maps on the iOS 6. I want a phone that will last me the entire length of my contract.

Entendu
I'm trying to decide between the Galaxy S3 and the iPhone 5. I played around with the S3 yesterday at Costco, and I feel like the interface is a cheap knock-off of the iPhone's. Is there any way to change the texting interface (color scheme, or anything like that?)

Good luck doing that with an iPhone. Straight to the genius bar! IPhones don't last 2 years lol. They are so breakable. Also, Samsung makes a quarter of the iPhone. So... I guess that quarter is sh*t. What the hell are y'all Doing to your iPhones. Y'all know my job, ive dropped it jumping out of the car and still no breakage. Use a case and you will never break an iPhone. I've had a speaker fail on the 3G but nothing with the 4.
MarlinKidd101
I have never cracked any of my iPhones in the 4 years that I've had them. Some people are just stupid. Edit: Never have I ever

I guess that quarter is sh*t. As a person who takes very good care of their phone and having experienced both a Galaxy S phone and an iPhone, despite the fact that the Google operating system is superior, the hardware is vastly inferior to an iPhone. Galaxy S phones do not last, and are made with considerably cheaper material. iPhones absolutely last 2 years. Their build is unparalleled in the industry. Here's my outtake on it: phones these days are all capable of amazing things. Much more than we 'need'. So say an Android exceeds my needs by... oh... 500 times... and an iPhone by only 400 times... well in the end they're completely exceeding my needs by an irrelevant measure. I'd rather go with the phone that has the build that I can rely on. That's just me of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Dr Beinfest
No. I have a galaxy s. Right now. Laying behind me inside a push car. I used that phone until last year. My daughter uses that phone as her toy. It has no case on it. The galaxy s is one of the strongest touchscreen phones I've ever used. The iPhone IS MADE OF GLASS. What are you smoking? The build quality is excellent, but its MADE OF GLASS. Come on. Are you sure your daughter didn't write that response? I, too, have a Galaxy S. Right now. And it's a piece of sh*t. AeroFishOne
Maybe letting your daughter use a 300+ dollar phone as a toy is the reason for the breakage on the Iphones. You would think that would be a self correcting problem If you use a case, you wont have breakage except under severe circumstances.
Hotcorner
I never bothered with a case for my Galaxy S, it's pretty solid. At the end of its 2nd year now and the battery's getting weak. However this phone took a long swim in the pool once with me so I can't really complain about anything going wrong with it, I'm amazed it still works. Looking forward to the S3 though. But yeah it's not like there's some massive difference from one to the next.
Dr Beinfest
I agree the phone doesn't need a case... Neither does an iPhone. It might not be pretty looking without a case but neither is a Galaxy S after two years...
